Closer than I thought it would be.
#4
The part of the game I watched SV should have won this one. Cody V pitched a heck of a game. SV didn't make some plays toward the end. SV has to be happy with the way things are going. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Jacob Robinson had a great hit! I go to every single one of Shelby Valley's sports events. Because I'm a die hard Shelby Valley fan. I think Valley, if they keep their new coach they will be good. He seems like he knows about the game, when I watched him yesterday. Valley is a good ball club and shouldn't be overlooked. Good Luck Valley.

I thought that Shelby Valley really played well. Although they still struggled with thire bats! Over all I think that their young coach is doing very well with what he has, "AND WILL HOPEFULLY TURN THE PROGRAM BACK IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION!" GO CATS
#7
He really looks like he knows what he's doing. Good luck to him and the rest of the cats.

Congrats Belfry. This must have been a close one.

It was!! I was in the concession for a big part of the game and didn't get to watch all of this one ........ I do believe the bats will come around and Belfry will get things clicking..... TongueirateSho

0-3 and they should be happy with the way things are going? :please:

When did ol' Coach Ratliff get into teaching anyways? He was a pretty good pitcher back in the day.

They for the most part have been competitive and I do know Coach Ratliff is putting a lot into it. Congrats and keep up the good work.

This was a good game to watch. I think both teams have a lot of room for improvement and will both have good seasons before the end of May.

It was a good game and there was a questionable call towards the end of the game, this call could have changed the complection of the game. But overall Valley has to be happy with this.

Questionable call? They were one early that was missed but it didn't affect the outcome. The only really possible close call would be the kid thrown out stealing in the seventh. But that was a heck of a throw right on the money.
#19
And a terrible call @ 2nd! the kid was without a doubt under that tag! Belfry has a great Catcher, but that one throw was a little high. The kid had to go up and grab it. He put the tag on him round his lower back! The kid was in!

ive been umping these games for quite a long time now and from wht i see its pretty much down hill after runyon??
#21
The call at second was pretty bad! The kid was safe. Even us from the stands could call that. But, if Valley had good bats, I say they would have won that one.
#22
Congrats Belfry

First off, it's not psh... it's phs..... and yep, I do have something to say about it....

Runyon is an excellent pitcher and by no means am I taking anything away from him but there ARE other pitchers on this Belfry team. In case you haven't read the news-express today Maynard, who pitched the game against SV, threw 66 pitches in 6 innings with 47 of those being strikes. That's pretty impressive.... Also Williams, who is only a freshman is also a good pitcher to be a youngester. He pitched some against Paintsville the other night and was pitching a good game. Another is Francis who pitched in our win against Sheldon Clark. Another freshman who is also a good pitcher is Jared Masters. There are more who pitch but just with those listed, I'd say there is no shortage of pitchers on this Belfry team.

Maybe you need to 'investigate" before you make assumptions???? Now... that's PART of what I KNOW!

Way to go sister... I think pitching is the least of our worries...Belfry will do well this year...

well if SV would had hit the ball it would not have been a game

BUT, isn't that the object of the game.... HIT THE BALL????

Sorry, but I'm tired of the smart remarks that keep being posted without just cause. I merely provided information to dispute the previous posters comment that Belfry was lacking pitching, which they are not.

BMSPIRATEMOM #11..... I have your "item" you need in the back of Big Daddy's truck... LOL... Been toten it around for over a week now!!! Are you coming tomorrow?
