Mason County vs. Shelby Valley (1st Round Sweet 16)
zulu Wrote:I have more bb knowledge in the side of my brain not used for thinking than you ever thought about having. It's fun and easy to aggravate you SV fans since all you have to do is talk about how great SV is. It's nothing personal against SV or the kids that play for them. It's how you folks go on and on about this team. I just can't help but to go against you. And by the way I never thought of basketball predictions as a THEORY process. I always pick the other team when SV plays, it's no theroy.:lmao:

But I must say in this case, I do believe Mason will win the game rather easily. GO MASON!:Cheerlead

I gotta say, I love this. All the Valley fans are wishing EC luck and hope they win their game. All the EC fans are against Valley and hoping they lose.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

I dont know for sure, and dont really want to guess as to why.... but it sure seems strange to me how 15th fans are behind all mountain teams but the 16th is against them. And we are supposed to be the haters.

It Almost Sounds As If Ec Fans Would Rather Face Someone Else In The Second Round.........if They Do, In Fact, Make It There. And By "they", I Mean Both Teams. But I'm Right There With You........good Luck To All Teams. Especially Valley!!!!!!!!!

hmmm, I wonder why lol..

More Cowbell, thats the 1st time I remember you not perdicting a Valley win.. oh no lol
mama cat Wrote:Of course I will predict that our precious Wildcats will win and I would hope that people from Mason County would predict their team to win. These are just games and anything could happen. I am asking everyone to please pray with me that all of the teams will play to their best potential and that no one will get hurt. Also, please pray that God will keep us all safe as we travel and help us to show good sportsmanship, win or lose. This is a lot of pressure on these young men. Let's encourage them all because they have worked hard to get to where they are at and deserve everyone's respect!
I love my Shelby Valley Wildcats!!!!!!! Even if you never won another game in your life, you are all winners in God's eyes and to everyone who knows you!!!!!! Good Luck to ALL teams!!!!!!

Very good post!!! :1:

BBOF, judging by his previous posts, I'm pretty sure zulu is not a fan of either Elliott or the 16th region. He seems to be a 14th region fan, and I believe Knott Central is his fave team. So his pulling against SV is probably due to a simple dislike of Shelby Valley.

To be fair, a lot of the posts from EC fans I have read on here are actually pulling for SV to win their game. It seems to me that the fans of both teams are hoping for a rematch. Hopefully they all get their wish.

I got to take Valley in a close one. They have been impressive all year long and I don't think they made it all the way to state to fall short, especially in the first round.

Predicting the outcome of a game is definitely not the same as stating who you WANT to win, and I do make a distinction between the two. I sincerely hope that SV will win, I just don't have a good feeling about it...

Incidentally, I did also predict SV to lose to Elliott back in the All-A, and we know how that turned out! I hope I am wrong again on this one.

haha, good call:Thumbs:

but I hope Valley can pull through it, I'll be down there Thursday and Maybe Friday
I go with Valley by 3 in Overtime.
I think Valley has the talent to win the whole thing. Now alot of things would have to happen in their favor and they did get a tough draw but these kids play well as a team and anytime you do that great things can happen.
Valley by 9.
The Lexington Herald Leader has SV #1, MC #2. Interesting note, Justice has to be the most amazing pt guard in history, he goes from 5ft8 in one thread to 5ft11-6ft in another.

Not all 16th fans. I'm pulling for Elliott, Shelby Valley and Hazard.
Should be a good one, the difference I think will be at the guard position if MC presses as much as SV does I'm pretty sure SV's guards can handle it, just not sure if MC can handle the pressure that SV's guards can put on them. I see SV winning this one by 8. I am also a SV fan but I'm still rooting for EC against AC also, would love to see a rematch of these two teams.:please:
Jason Booher named the KHSAA coach of the year! Pretty impressive! Elisha Justice 2nd team all-state, way to go Elisha!

Congrats Jason Booher and Congrats Elisha!
I really feel like this game will get out of hand in a hurry. I think Mason will blow SV out of Rupp Arena. I really feel like Mason will win by 25.

It very well could, you have to know the difference between possibility and probability. It is possible for SV to get beat by 25, but not probable.

I want my team to win, but I am proud of them because of who they are and what they represent. God Bless You, Zulu, I will include you in my prayers tonight.

And yet again, I am willing to bet that you wont stand behind that statement. Same bet still goes, you gonna take it?

Absolutely Basbetblaberoni you got it.

I well aware of the difference, but thanks for the lesson. The thing that you folks don't understand is SV played a very, very weak schdule. Mason Co has played top notch competition all year long. When SV played in the 14th they struggled with Perry and got beat by Knott. The 14th is no where close to the competition that Mason plays. This will be no contest. Thanks for the prayers.

I tend to not read this guys posts because he already stated he made alot of his predictions to make Valley's fans mad. Just ignore him.

No Valley did not play as tough of a schedule as Mason County, but Valley does have wins over #1 Elliott County (who defeated Mason Co. by 10+), class 5A #7 Walton (GA), a 36-point victory over Henry Clay (who has defeated ranked teams such as Bryan Station twice, Tates Creek, and Dunbar), and formerly ranked Bardstown.

Also, Valley lost to Knott Central because Elisha Justice didn't play.

Everyone respects your opinion, but you are obviously trying to stir up trouble now.
