Teams With A Bright Future?
#1
I want your guys opinion about what teams is slowly getting to that point where they can say they are contenders.
#2
Estill County
#3
I say Paintsville will return to glory soon. I give them about two years.
#4
Pike Central, with Chapman at the helm.
#5
Sheldon Clark needs to make a run in the next 2 years if not they will be down for awhile
#6
I also agree that Paintsville could once again be playing for Regional Championships in the near future.
#7
The Harlan County Black Bears! Coach Larkey and his staff are working hard at building a quality program.
#8
Belfry should get better here in the next year or 2.. After this Sophomore QB this year gets some good experience..
#9
It's in my opinion most of the teams mentioned above have a bright future. However, Paintsville and Pike Central both stick out to me. I agree, Chapman will do much for that school's program. Larkey will do a lot with Harlan, he's actually already done quiet a bit. Good luck to all!
#10
I would say that Johnson Central, they looked very strong last year.
#11
Paintsville? Pike Central?
#12
Pikeville is looking bright in the future with the Howard family back
#13
knott co
#14
Powell Co.
#15
Theyre not there yet, but i think Magoffin County wil continue to get better with coach Mccoy at the helm.

Yep, Pikeville has dominated that district...that's why I did not put their name down. They will improve with Ben at the head coaching position, but I took this thread to mean what teams that aren't very good or have underachieved over the past few years that will show a major improvement.
#17
East Ridge, Knott County, Phelps, Allen Central, Magoffin County, Pike Central, Betsy Layne.

Lcc

I'm Thinking Estill County.
They Lose A Lot Of Seniors But I Think They New Coaching Staff And Changes To The Program Will Benefit All Involved In The Long Run.
Or So I'm Hoping. =]

shelby valley is returning with i believe 18 or so seniors and a promiseing amount of under classmen. so look for them to make there way to the top pretty soon

Whitley County. Really like what they are doing there. Not only are they scheduling good teams, more importantly the coach is getting the players, the administration, and the community to buy into his program.

Would like to see this team come up north this year, did not get to make the trip to their place last year and would like to see them play.

Pikeville-Howard being there now.
Pike Central-Chapman I think he'll have this team doing great in the future.
