well jc will give them a run for their money win or lose.........and in some peoples eyes SV can do no wrong just as much as they aren't good enough for others as you say. It makes no difference to me as I will be supporting my team till they lose then whoever it is that goes to state. I hope thats the same for everyone else whether SV goes or not I hope those fans will support the team that does win. Anyways Im picking JC for a very tough win by 1 point in OT. I heard that game was at 10:00 am on saturday (thats what i heard announced but idk).

A boy in Michigan lost his mother to cancer, came to the game in the 2nd quarter the same day, got a double double and won the game, you can't use passing away as an excuse. Brett Favre's dad passed away Sunday night, Brett has the game of his career on Monday night football.

why on earth is the boys championship on a monday and the girls on saturday?? i would think they would have wanted the boys to be on sat

This will not be the matchup that some have been waiting for. SV will probably have this won by the half, hopefully I am wrong. JC has struggled all season and for what reason ??? I think the young staff of JC will come to realize that the lack of Randy Ward, his knowledge / discipline / and experience has been missed on the sideline. JC has to give a team effort NOW. If the Eagles continue as they have done thus far SV will win by 30, If coach m will not panic :HitWall: and quit trying to FIGURE it out, he might keep it to 15 or so. Any how good luck Eagles and congrats to the senior players for an outstanding season/effort this year, win or lose you guys are champions.

What???
I'm not sure how you meant that statement, but either way doesn't make much sense...
First off, the score was actually 83 points. But even if you are saying that SV somehow had a bad game by only scoring 83, then that's silly. Since when is putting that many points on the board described as scoring "only" 83? I see that Johnson Central "only" scored 83 or more four times this year. And those were against weaker teams Allen Central, South Floyd, Boyd Co., and Paintsville. So 83 seems like a pretty good number to me.
And if you are being sarcastic and implying that SV ran up the score, then that's not true either. The bench guys were on the court for a lot of the second half, and SV could've won by 50+ if they wanted to. So while they may not have "let up" on Betsy Layne, they did substitute freely and rest their starters, which is exactly what they were supposed to do.

BA is right here. These times are confirmed by both the KHSAA web site as well as the Expo Center website.

The girls championship is played earlier because the girls Sweet Sixteen is played one week before the boys this year. Since the first round of state tournament games start on Wednesday, all girls championships had to be decided by Saturday. So, the girls finish on Saturday and the boys wait till Monday.
Myself, I don't see a thing wrong with this schedule. What is your objection to it?

Are you serious, Valley could have put up easily over 100 if they would have left their starters in. With a defense as good as Valley's they dont have to score alot to beat a team. Betsy Lane only had 2 points for alot of the 1st half.

Started the game 11-0 I believe.

well what made them score 100 on other teams, im just curious as to what the difference as to why they chose to not score so much now, why not keep scoring as much as possible, show they are superior.
I just didnt know y the girls played then, no objection other than i am two hours away with classes everyday and if by chance jc somehow manages a miracle and plays their absolute best and win then i will be driving home on a monday night, then back to school. that is not fun, i assure you.

JC had the potential at the beginning of the year to be that had the best shot at upsetting Valley.
No chance now, not nearly disciplined enough and way too many attitudes on that squad.
Shelby Valley by as many as they want.

No need to worry about all of that driving,......Valley by 40 or more.

please explain to me why people think that valley can just show up and be handed the trophy and no one play? they may have the best odds, but that is why the actually bother to have a tourney people. I hope there arent too many players that read this crap bc no wonder people said it looked like BL gave up in warm-ups the way everyone places SV on a pedastool

Superior talent, better coaching! Can you please explain to me on why Johnson Central will win? And if Besty Lane gave up in warm -ups thats there fault. Are we supposed to say Oh they have a chance? No, if they have a chance we will say they do if not then so be it. VAlley by 30 plus.

Every team has a chance - maybe a slim one, but there's always a chance. I don't know if gtowntiger has seen SV play, but they're pretty awesome. That's not to say that it will just be handed to them; I hope that JC plays like they can and makes it a good game, and then who knows???? No one knows who will win without a doubt, but the odds are definitely in SVs favor. However, it's tournament time and things happen. All of this bickering is ridiculous. We'll all find out on Saturday.

They were up by 18 at one point and won by 13 in the end....that's not exactly barely. I agree though, JC should have won by a lot more.

From what i watched from the belfry/jc game and from the sv/bl game...id say valley by 30. but just my opinion...

Can someone tell me why the margin is larger in the votes for this game than the Betsy Layne poll. Valley leads this poll by 40, they won the BL poll by 34.
03-06-2009, 03:40 AM
Too many ppl seem to be more against jc then there are against valley i am sure there are a few ppl who would just get on and vote against jc due to bad feelings towards them

Good luck to both teams. I will be pulling for JC but would really just like to see a good game. I'm tired of Valley just dominating the 15th. No bad feelings but would just enjoy somebody challenging them. They need to be tested if they make it to state it will not be such a cakewalk.

You're tired of seeing one of the best teams in the state win games they should?
