Scott County won the 42nd district tournament in a strangly played game. SC jumped out to a 10 pt lead in the first 4 minutes. HC then went small with all 5 players under 6' at times. HC couldn't miss from the 3 pt line for much of the rest of the first half cutting the lead to 4 on 6 3 pointers. Euton for SC hit a long three to put SC up by 7 at the half. SC dominated the 3rd and early 4th quarter going up by 20 or 22 pts. HC created several turnovers in the last 2 or 3 minutes to cut the lead to 10 at the end.
Stats were incomplete. However, some of the stat leaders were:
Scott County
Euton 26 pts and 11 rebounds
Phares 18 points (16 in the second half) and 10 rebounds
Jackson 10 points
Guyn 21 points
Henry Clay
Prince Stewart 23 points
Nichols 12 points
Johnson 12 points
Henry Clay 11 19 8 31 69
Scott Co. 17 20 20 22 79
There were possibly other stat leaders however, the stat sheet was not posted on the net tonight. Dakota Euton was the tournament MVP. If my math is correct SC has won 10 straight games against HC.

Euton got his points on 9 for 11 shooting and 6 for 6 from the free throw line. Jackson also had 7 rebounds and 7 steals. SC was ahead 71-50 with just over 3:00 left in the game. HC cut the lead to 8 and forced Hicks to reinsert his starting lineup.
