I don't think we need anyone to come to Dorton for our girls to be a good team. I guess that is what you are insinuating. I really can't understand the rambling so I may have misunderstood.

Yes, you are right. Dortons girls should be very good this year, and even for the next couple years. Who all is coming back for Dorton this year?

They lost 2 eight graders I think Potter and Mullins, they return some pretty good players. Courtney Wright and Mariah Newsom are the two that stick out in my mind the most and there both playing freshman and jv at SV.

Mullins is a good player, and it will probabaly hurt losing her. I also think Wright will step up this year though, she is a good player and Newsom is to.

We return 3 starters in Courtney Wright, Mariah Newsom, and Taylor Rowe. I really look for these 3 girls to step it up on the offensive end this year. If Mariah would work to become an offensive threat and get some confidence, she could be really good. We return Abby Smallwood, Haleigh Bowling, Kennedy Tucker, and Sydney Jones off the bench. If Abby and Haleigh would work and get stronger, we could be just as good or better than last year. We will definitely miss Leeza and Nikesha though.

Yes Dorton should be very good again this year. Wright should really be able to take control, and the other girls should contribute alot to.

Don't you think it is a little early to start recruiting and giving out scholarships to 3rd and 4th graders, don't see no Billy G's around Dorton do you.

The 3rd & 4th grade team is a very talented bunch of little girls and yes we have some of Virgie girls but 4 out of the 5 starters are from Dorton. Both schools contribute very good players and I predict this group of girls will be unstopable by the time they reach high school if they continue to play together and grow individually and as a team. I for one look forward to seeing it!!!!

Is it true they had 4 foul out in last game and only had 2 to finish the game. If so I have never seen anything like that in my life.

Yes this is true. We only had 6 girls show up on Sunday, with 5 of them being our normal starters and a 2nd grader. It was a very interesting game to say the least. Our 2 girls that was left standing did an outstanding job and played their heart out!
