Evidently it wasn't "politically correct" this year!! I know a MVP award was given last year as I was at the championship game and saw the young man whom it was given to!

Several coaches voiced concern about having an MVP because of problems and controversies it sometimes causes. Ultimately, it was left up to the host team. It could be different next year or the coaches could vote to leave it the same.
