i think luke huffman will be good for a freshman quarterback, there is a linebacker that will be a freshman, not many people know him but he is a tough litlin
01-25-2005, 02:54 PM
i have a watched a couple of the junio high games and it doesnt look they have much power or size but let alone they are only in eith grade
01-25-2005, 05:57 PM
Luke....I don't think luke will get a go at it....Too small, besides, after chase finishes out the year, the panthers already have JM Mayo to pick up the vacant slot....
01-25-2005, 09:01 PM
True and John "J Money" Mayo is from what ive seen a pretty good Arm Jockey......Good quaterback if u ask me

Same here...

I kinda think that Pikeville's receivers will be a big factor in 2005. I look for the Panthers to air it out more. Chase Huffman gained a lot of experience and confidence last year and with him slinging it all over the field in his senior season, the wide outs will need to step up and make the big catches.
01-27-2005, 01:12 AM
That is what i've been saying all winter...We need a special teams and people who can catch the ball in order for us to even think about going to state this year....
01-27-2005, 01:14 AM
most definitely Spread and Mania...........WR are gonna play a big part in pikevilles season next year....we get them to step up then things are looking good, but if not then.....UhOh
01-28-2005, 11:30 AM
who is going to kickoff next year, and kick the field goals at pikeville? Is lockhart going to step up and kick, or will they recruit somebody for it?
01-28-2005, 12:26 PM
what about number 12, dont know his name, but i saw him play at the belfry-pikeville freshmen game and i look forward to seeing great things from him

he's alright, he supose to leave junior year though

IMO this team is based around two players
Weston Robinson
Chase Huffman
if this team wants to win at all next year they must use these two players as much as possible
they must ride on the back of these two players if they want to even think abotu another regional title

Coach Mac Wrote:IMO this team is based around two playersIMO..this team shouldn't worry about Weston or Chase or any wideouts if their lineman don't get in the weightroom. Unless the lineman work harder than they ever have and develop some strength it will be a battle for 2nd place in the DISTRICT.

I completely agree spxdad, without good strong lineman blocking up front it doesn't really matter who you have in the backfield.

the only people that know who is in the weightroom r the people that r in it trust me the big boys r up there every day along wiht those two and if u dont think that they r workin hard your wrong they do there part just like chase and weston or any other skill player
oh yeah and pikeville never plays for second
and i mena never
01-30-2005, 10:06 PM
Nahh...definately not coach mac....
01-30-2005, 10:07 PM
Never do we play for second..............and you can bet your bottom dollar that the big boys are in that weightroom everyday
01-30-2005, 10:10 PM
I would definately hope they are workin hard......That state ring won't just walk up to you and slide down on your finger...lol
01-30-2005, 10:12 PM
True' True.......like i said it b4 u have to want it and mean it
01-30-2005, 11:47 PM
And besides the whole linemen in the weightroom thing, there isnt one football team that can win with just 2 players. Huffman and Robinson are good, but football is played with 11 men on the field functioning as a unit. 2 guys dont make a team.
02-01-2005, 01:05 AM
that my friend is true as the sky is blue........not a team a family......out there risking their necks for the other......its about risk.....and willing to let it all go....every play.....it takes a team FAULTY COACH MAC

Pikeville will be about the same they always have been. They have a winning tradition. The linemen i agree need to get alot stronger. But, chase and weston arent the only two weapons you have? What about Sexton? Give him some credit. He made plays happen. The Honaker twins will be good later in the their career. They could step up this year and become a part of a good tradition. But, i see pikeville winning thier district. But not due to the talent, because of how weak their district is.
02-01-2005, 09:44 AM
WEAK dont make me laught
we have a very hard district
painstville a powerhouse and hazard returns everyone and south floyd is not bad
we have talent and we cna use it to win a hard distirict

Paintsville is the opposite of weak next year in every aspect they should win district with what they have returning its still the heart and tradition they lack that will keep that trophy in the shelves of Pikeville High
02-01-2005, 09:05 PM
Paintsville......a powehouse??? Not really, but I agree with liveMAROON that they will be very good this year. Returning two one thousand yard rushers will help them significantly.
But with the exceptions of Pikeville and Paintsville, this district is relatively weak.

I think that it will be another good year for the panthers, i look for a lot of people to step up such as brad bryant, ted honaker, ryan shurtleff, jordan tibbs, danielle gillespie, and tim honaker as well
