Top 5 Teams in the 14th Region
#1
Who are your top 5 14th region teams?

My list would look like this..

1. Hazard
2. Perry Co. Central
3. Knott Co. Central
4. Letcher Co. Central
5. June Buchanan

Teams not far behind..

Buckhorn and Estill Co.

^I like it.

Hazard, Perry Central, and Knott Central are pretty even teams and could beat one another on any given night.

Letcher Central has been a little disappointing this season because a lot thought they would be right in the mix with the other three, but have yet to knock off either Knott Central or Perry Central, but will get their shot at Hazard at home in a few weeks.

This game will be very interesting. I smell an upset!

#5
1.Hazard
2.PCC
3.KCC
4.LCC
5.JBS

Perry, Hazard, and Knott are the top 3, no doubt about that. I still don't know what order to put them in. There head and shoulders above everyone else though.
A distant 4th is LCC. Could be a darkhorse come Match. If they want to be a contender for the 14th region crown though, they have to beat one of the top 3.
Not far behind LCC is JBS, with Collins coming back they could def make some noise and possibly pull an upset.

How could anyone say Hazard is number one? They cant beat KCC? But how could PCC be number one if they can't beat HHS and how could KCC be number one if they can't beat PCC...Ill say its a three way tie for first.. with LCC 2nd.
#8
1. PCC....balanced and well coached.
2. KCC....more talent and offense than anyone in 14th, subpar coaching.
3. HHS....over rated by many, lack of consistent perimeter offense.
4. LCC....has not played to their exspectations.
5. JBS.....seems to be improving as season progresses, will be a tough district out.
#9
i think pcc
kcc but bucckhorn should be in thisd somewhere if they keep it up

what is buckhorns record

I don't know their record, but they should have beaten JBS in the All A. They looked like the best team for 3 1/2 quarters. Just could hang on. They could be the one that gets some upsets during the district and move into the region.

District tournament time in the 53rd & 54th should be awsome. I cannot wait to see the draw in the 54th. Will there be any upsets in the 53rd?
#21
This Region is always so unpredictable!! I personally can't rank a top 5, but can pick 5 teams with a chance, IMO. In no order: Perry Co. Central, Knott Co. Central, Hazard, Letcher Co. Central, and flip a coin on the 5th one, maybe JBS, Estill Co., Buckhorn, who knows!! I Remember when the 54th was a 5 team District and Hazard upset Dilce Combs in the first round of the 1993 District tournament and it was an awesome game with Memorial Gym packed to the rafters. Dilce Combs had won the All "A" State title and were loaded with talent and maybe the favorite to win the region, besides KCC and MC Napier. So you really never know, it's what makes tournament time great. By the way, KCC beat MC Napier in the regional final and went to Rupp. I think they played Conner in the first round at the Sweet 16, but can't remember if KCC won that game or not?? Anyone from KCC remember? Thanks!!

top 3 are up for grabs between perry, knott, and hazard. lcc and jbs are 4th and 5th in that order.
#27
1a Kcc
1b Pcc
1c Hhs

#2 Is A Mix Of Letcher, Jbs, Cordia, Buckhorn, And Estill
#28
Lee is the #1 seed in the 56th.
#29
1. Knott, after their win against Pcc
2. Hazard, Perry still hasn't showed they can get over the hump against them
3. PCC, They better find some scoring if they want out of the district
4. Letcher, still improving
5. JBS, always dangerous when Stepp is shooting and Collins and Hall are inside

SLEEPERS:
1. Lee is improving and is best team in 56th, could struggle at Guard spot
2. Buckhorn is always dangerous, they have inside and outside game and can get hot from the 3 point line in a hurry, will be a tough out in the district
3. Estill is always dangerous with Cackling
I believe that is the only 8 teams that have a chance at this region. It all depends on the draw of each district and how the regional draw comes out. All I know is I can't wait to get to Powell county, should be fun, especially since Powell will not be involved!
