This is from the team program produced at the beginning of the season. It seemed to me that there were a couple more 1000 point scorers. I was thinking Johnny Alvin was one of them, but not sure.

I would have thought Chris Johnson was another one. What about Chad Bowling and Jeremy Johnson? I don't remember if they got to play all four years at Valley or not. I do know they were playing for Valley when they still had to use Virgie's gym.

..........I know he has one of the top ten season steal records in the state.but we wonder how many records does he hold at SV. How many steals does he have now.Does he hold the school record?

Jeremy played 3 years at Valley after consolidation and Chad played 1. I'm pretty sure Chris Johnson should be on this list as well.

Elisha has 284 steals in the book I have. I don't know if that was before the season or when the book was produced. I would assume before the season. He probably averages somewhere around 4 this season which would be 80+ more.

Here is the list:

284 - Elisha Justice
215 - Terry Wright
212 - Logan Bryant
177 - Jacob Bryant
111 - Jeremy Akers

Assists:

335 - Jeremy Akers
330 - Jacob Bryant
291 - Patrick Tackett
279 - Kelsey Friend
255 - Elisha Justice
252 - Brandon Stevens
238 - Chris Johnson
204 - Kris Prater

Can you get some statewide ranks?

Elisha Justice was mentioned today on kentuckysportsradio.com.

Here is what was said:

(4): Finally, keep an eye out on Elisha Justice from Shelby Valley who is still likely floating from leading his team to the State “All A Classic” title. I saw Justice play this summer in open gyms with the Kentucky basketball team and I found the kid to be one of the more exciting players to watch in some time. He plays with a Patrick Sparks-like confidence and swagger and is a great ball handler and good shooter. While watching him against the UK guys, you could see he wasnt intimidated and made UK’s point guards look slow on more than one occasion. He had a great All A Tournament and the member of the 2010 class is on the recruiting radars of a number of top schools. With KC Ross-Miller in the same class, UK’s ability to recruit Justice may be limited. But I am not sure if he couldnt potentially be better and I am betting that he will end up getting scooped up by some major conference school before it is all said and done. We shall see.

The career steals record for the state is 499.

The career assists record is 1352.

Elisha should easily break the steals record if he stays healthy, but definitely not the assists record.

That's a lot of assists.

That would be like playing 30 games a year for 4 years and averaging 10+ assists. That record may never be broken.
