A lot was said in the pre-season about Lee County being one of the better teams in the 14th region, but they still have yet to prove it.

Can't speak for the whole game (missed the first quarter) but Lee played pretty well tonight. Still too many dumb shots. I almost fell out of my seat when Wise took that shot with us up toward the end of regulation. Breathitt played very good too. Congrats to them. For most teams, having a lead is a good thing...but apparantly not for Lee. How many games can we lose while being ahead toward the end of the game? Terrible game management and decision making. By both players and Coaches. Eh, they are playing a little better, I guess that is good. One other thing, not crying foul, but there was 1 second left in the game and the ball hits the rim, gets tipped underneath and bounces over to the side, is scooped up and shot? It can happen I guess, we've been on the good end of a couple of those here at home too, lol.

Wounderful game to be at tonight. Both teams got a lead on each other and played very well. Breathitt couldnt get a rebound. Lee outrebounded Breathitt by a huge margin. Breathitt needs to stop playing Moore, and start playing someone is is quicker up the floor and push the pase more and try to get easier shots and quicker baskets. Breathitt looks like the are somewhat coming together. Playing Knott well, and beating Lee, maybe things are going to look for for the Bobcats. Only time will tell.

Breathitt Bobcats and Lee Bobcats played a great game,no matter who won or lost both played and left it out on floor,Breathitt Co. Cant hit a lay-up,Lee Didnt shoot free throws well,Lee has three nice players Charles,Pitman,and Pelfry,he is a horse,Breathitt Co. didnt rebound at all seems like that is part of their game that missing no one rebounds,Taulbee played well and Terry hit 2 three when was needed ,Haddix played good defense and Fugate and Haddix sure needs to pratice hitting layups,but over all both teams played well... Good Win Breathitt Co. Bobcats!!!

Both teams did play well. Lee kind of regrouped after a terrible game vs. Buckhorn. Zone defense after the half improved Lee's play a lot. Either of these teams could upset anyone in the 14th if they continue to improve.

Well the kids played well over all.. coaching on both benches did good, this one belonged to the kids out on floor,Charles made some really good shots that kept Lee Co. in there and him being the player he is thats what good players do,the Pitman kid is a hidden player didnt know a lot about but he is a player,and enuff cant be said about Pelfery he has a hook shot i have not seen in high school ball in years,but Taulbee ,Fugate had good offensive games and Haddix played good defense,but what hurts the average fans in the stand that go to games there was no effort on Breathitt Bobcats part to rebound the ball,rebounding is something you gotta wanta do it hard work but means a lot to your team if Breathitt Co.can get on board better they could be a hard out in Region if not they will be a quick out,and Lee just need little more work on free throws and they will be a team to reckon with in Region also but they also could be quick out,but back to what was said.. coaches can't hit free throws or lay-ups but both coaches put it in kids hands to win or loose the game,and thats the way the game should be played,"LEGISLATURE"maybe was at the game,in stands or listining on radio and sees it,or thinks of this game as a positive game for both coaches so he wont comment on Coach Noble's coaching ability,LOL, anyone who says both teams didnt leave it out on FLOOR there surely wasnt at the game...Good Win Breathitt Bobcats...

The 1 the only- Big Rick I have been out of town because of the weather that my brother got I just got back I have not been to any games the last few days and because of the coaching I promise you I will not be at (NO) More games as long as this man coaches. So if you want to give a coaching report from now on you will be the one to do it. If it is true what I was told this morning that the score was tied up 74-74 with 23-sec to go and breathitt shot the ball with 20-sec left and does not take the last shot what kind of coaching it that? I will leave that up to you The 1 the only.

Since 2005 Lee County has had some of the top teams in the 14th region as far as talent goes. With players like T.J. Howard, Tyler Rich, Kenny Brandenburg, and Aarron Charles. However they have underachieved greatly. In 05-06 they won the All A region, then lost in the first round of the district. ( I think to Owsley County) The following year they won the district at Lee County. The next season they were upset in the first round of the district by Owsley County (who had only won 5-6 games all season.) Then last season they lost to Powell COunty in the first round of the district.This is another season in which Lee County has not met their potential.

Coaches can't always control what players do on the floor in the last min. of the game. Lee Co. also had a player take a bonehead shot when they had the lead. Its easy to talk about a coach while typing on the computer but try getting in the huddle and talking to a group of 16 year old kids. Alot of what is said goes in 1 ear and out the other one.

Sounds like a lack of discipline.
Coaches can't always control what players do on the floor the last minute. However Coaches control what is done in the last minute. You play who is not going to make stupid mistakes and you have your team prepared for end of the game situations. This is the last month of the season if your team hasn't learned how to handle end of the game situations then you need different players or a better teacher.:flame:

Kids can learn a lot more from being in those situations in a game than in practice. Coaching is making sure that players don't make the same mistakes over and over.
All I'm saying is anybody can talk about coaches after the game is over. Maybe Billy G should have double teamed Downy from South Carolina or Coach Pitino should have played Derrick Anderson in the 1997 National Title Game.
Just give both of these coaches a break Coach Wright and Coach Noble both work very hard and I think their schools and towns have unreal views on what there teams should do every year.

Lee only made 16 of 34 free throws! Outrebounded Breathitt 38-20. 18 is way too many to miss!
Coach Wright did do a great job adjusting his defense at half time, and has improved the team offense during the snow break.
Breathitt has a relatively deep bench and everyone played hard. Terry made some critical threes at the end.

Lee Co. needs another ball handler that can take some pressure off of Charles. Both teams are capable of knocking somebody out of the regional tournament if they play well.
