I'm gonna say Hatcher #1. He took a team with very little talent and turned them into a regional contender, something even the great Al Holland couldn't do with this group.

I love the Alan Hatcher Show, I tune in everytime we play them. I seriously thought he was going to damage the floor at KCC last year with all of his jumping and stomping around.
:Angry07:
*that emoticon needs to be named - alan hatcher. I do however give him credit for his coaching - he is a very good coach. he just needs to carry out his anger in an orderly fashion.... hahaha

Holland hand down.
I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok -Shaquille O'Neal

No Doubt!

Holland is overrated. He does a little recruiting and has a stacked team in the 14th since he's been at Hazard. At Perry he always had a top 2 team in the region until the last few years he was there, and they struggled.

Please explain, why you think that? Otherwise quit just trying to start something with Knott Co. fans as always and trying to get this thread about PCC vs KCC as all the other ones.

Numero uno: Holland
Justice from LCC has to be won of the worst IMO. I've watched his practices about 12 times and it's stupid! LCC has about 10 coaches and all of em' try to talk to a different player at once and the only time King Ray opens his mouth is to ball a kid out in an incomprehensable voice! I feel bad for LCC, they'll could be really good if they didn't get out coached in every BIG game. Ex. PCC, KCC, and Clay Co.

Not trying to start a fight but I don't get how Amburgey is a bad coach. His first year he won a district title and lost a close game to Hazard in regionals. Although KCC did have a disappointing loss in the district last year I would blame that on inexperience. Now in his third year he has a team that is regional contenders. So I'm going to say that despite a few disappointing losses, Amburgey has done a lot more for this program than anyone else the last decade.

How many regions did Al win at M.C. Napier and Perry? 8 maybe ( not sure it may be more) in 13 years, that's not too bad. I just don't understand sour grapes toward a coach who gave a lot to that system. He was an excellent coach then and is today. I'm just glad he's wearing the blue and gold now.
And by the way, what's Coach Hatcher's record against Coach Holland? Enough said.
And don't retaliate with, "he recruits or we'd win", we've all heard that before, try and be original please.

Ok.
I've watched Knott play a few times and they run little to no offense. Just give the ball to Stamper(sometimes Cox) and let him do his thing. They got one on one at the top of the key while everyone else is standing around. The role players never shoot unless they get an offensive board. And imo Cox(best player in the region) don't even get enough shots. Knott has the best guard combo in the region and should simply be better than they are. That's all coaching.

Sometimes Cox?
Tate has taken 245 shots made 123
Stamper has taken 158 Shots made 71
Ratliff 90 shots
Amburgey 88 shots
Bartrum 88 shots
Caudill 50 shots
Mullins 62 shots
Role players have taken 378 shots. Looks like they all are doing their thing.

Hatcher-wins with average talent. They are not very talented but are good at what they do and just out work people.
AL-Has had a lot of success over the years with the best players. Knows it takes talent to win. Could he have this PCC team playing this well? Good Coach though.
Justice-Had success in the early 90's at Belfry, had a quality group of players. Won a district last season in a tough 53rd. Good Coach.
Amburgey-won a district in first season. Gets trashed more than any other of the top coaches. Done better with KCC than anyone since Stamper in 99-00.
Honeycutt-good coach, might do a better job at CHS without all the people looking over shoulder. I think would do a better job at a big school if gets another chance.
Just my take on some coaches you mentioned.

Amburgey is just an average coach imo. Knott deserves better. Hatcher is great from what I've watched, and we all know Al is a force to be reckoned with.
