I am very proud of this team! The entire weekend was so fun. These boys will really look back on their years at SV when they get older and remember all the fun they had together and what they accomplished.
I think all the boys played great, but Logan really stepped up. He was huge in this tournament and Valley would never have won it without him. He has such heart!

Congrats to SV. As I said in another thread, after seeing the Justice kid play for the first time, he's the real deal. I think that the fact he played so hard on defense is what impressed me the most. I had in my mind that he would be flashy and shooting the ball every opportunity he got, nothing could have been further from the truth. He played tough defense and did what a true point guard should do, led his team. He did come with the occasional basket and looked like a tremendous shooter, but he was very unselfish. I was very impressed with this SV team. I'm glad they brought it back to the mountains.

In love with Justice??? No, but tell me who is better! Congrats to the Valley they showed they are the best. Now let's work on those free throws...

Exactly, people think he takes a zillion shots a game, heck, it has taken Elisha until his Junior year to hit the 1000 point club, the boy from Elliott made the 3000 point club 1/2 way through his Senior year.

Just wanted to say that you guys do a great job of representing the kids of Eastern Kentucky. These kids will now have a game film that they can watch when they get old and want to reminisce.
Hey, I coached Elisha in middle school, and I don't care to admit that I absolutely love him to death. You couldn't find a better young person. Just watching those boys play made me remember their middle school years. I couldn't have been happier watching them celebrate. It's pretty bad when you are a grown man and have to fight back tears watching a basketball game. This championship gives them something that they will remember for the rest of their lives and look back on fondly. Hopefully they can accomplish even more the rest of this season and the next.

I was stating that people assume Elisha scores a lot because of all the hype he gets. I was getting the point across that scoring is not the only point of Elisha's game.

That's so cool congrats S-Valley on the big, big win.

Congratulations to Shelby Valley and Coach Booher. Valley has some really good kids that represent not only on the floor but also away from it in a very positive manner.

Finish out the season strong and perhaps you'll be cutting nets down in another gym not far from EKU: Rupp Arena.
First off...CONGRATS SV! Awesome tourney! Way to represent!
Now...As far as cutting other nets down. If they don't learn how to make free throws.....they won't be cutting **** down.
I have NEVER seen a team that makes almost any shot on the floor. But, CAN"T make a **** free throw! Boy's if I was a coach playing you guys. I would start the 5 worst players I had and I would foul you every time you came down the floor...lol. You would have to beat me from the line.
Coach B! Make them shoot 100 FTs every day after practice! God knows they need to.....lol.
Congrats again boys! Way to bring it home! We're all very proud of you!

This is the one thing I dislike about team sports, especially in high school, individual awards. I think that it should be enough that your team played great and won, but then that gets watered down by who didn't make the all tournament, all state, all world, ect., ect., ect. These indy awards usually only stir up hard feelings. I understand people like to think of people being MVP's and things like that, but especially in high school it's more about the team. Just my opinion, start the critism. LOL

I am so proud of all the Valley boys.
They have been working to bring home a state Championship for a few years, and this year was their years. I know all these boys personally and they are not just good basketball players, they are good kids.
Good win boys, but I do have one thing to say--work on the freethrows, they almost lost you boys two games in a row.
Anyways, GO VALLEY!!! Way to show them you are better than them
