David Jones
#1
Game MVP in my opinion. He seemed to be the only one with any heart out there.
#2
Really glad to see David start the game and be a captain. He really deserves it.

He played his heart out. He is gonna be a dangerous on special teams. He almost broke several yesterday..

David played an AMAZING game yesterday, and I agree with you CE, probably the MVP of the game. As a freshman he seems to be pretty much the heart and soul of this Wildcat team. With more experience everyone will start to see more of his potential. Look for him to go pro, not a doubt in my mind.

thats right QQ, its gonna be fun watchin him develop, he will just continue to get better and better:wieghts:

Jones really played well yesterday. I think we're going to see Archer use him a lot more on the defensive side of the ball. He played as good as anyone on the team. I'm glad to see he's doing well at UK. I, have to say for one that I actually doubted him getting to play there. It's good to see he's playing well and I hope he keeps it up. :thumb:

I would love to see a mountain boy go pro but lets face reality.... He played well for UK... and that was on special teams. i know he is a freshmen and he will only get better but we all remember Derek Abney and how good he was and i dont even think he is in the NFL now. David Jones is good and will get better but unless he breaks records or starts rippin it up on defense then he aint goin anywhere.
once again i am not puttin him down but the kid is just a freshmen. lets not start counting his money just yet.

Way to go David, keep up the good work

I read yesterday in Cats' Pause that David Jones was ranked in the top 10 in the nation in kick return.
#14
**** true freshmen too. glad he chose UK
#15
Great job, David. Good luck the rest of the season.

There are more Eastern Kentucky kids that could play at UK but don't get recruited by UK. Two players in particular: Ryan Brown from Paintsville and Doug Howard from Belfry.

I doubted him at first too. But it's good to see he's doing so well.. I just wish that he got to show his skills under different circumstances. But with all the injuries by the time he is a senior, then i'd say he will be someone to watch out for..
