What is the teams playin in the pcb this year..

What teams ARE playing in the Pike Co. Bowl? Aside from all the Pike Co. teams, I'm unsure who Pikeville and Belfry are playing.

Typically, the games are split between Pikeville and Belfry...however, Shelby Valley hosted two of the games last year. It's hard to say, I'm sure there will be an announcement in the next few months.

East Ridge vs Phelps
Belfry vs Boyd Co./Covington Holy Cross

Shelby Valley vs Pike Co Central
Pikeville vs Boyd Co./Covington Holy Cross

I believe those are the match up for next season.

The powert that be could do way better than this. The last two bowl games have been crap as far as match ups go.

Whay not take the six schools from Pike County and match them up with 6 schools from the state or out of state schools.

Other bowl games have three games each day. Or have two games each day Thurs-Sat. This gives a chance for better match ups, more money being brought into the county and gives all six teams in the county a chance to win.

And it gives me a reason to come back to Pike County.

Pikeville has had two very competitive games the past 2 years, and Belfry one.

This is true but going in you knew the Belfry game last year was going to be ugly being they flipped teams with Pikeville. 3/4 for games were ugly. Are you telling me you think those in charge could not make this bowl game a lot better than it is right now? Do the games in 2009 make you want to get in line now(so to speak). Belfry will blowout the team they play. Pikeville, who knows being they are in another season with a new coach and all of what that brings.

If I remember what I read they will be at the sames sites as 2008.

That would be a neat idea if it could work. It gets kinda old seeing the other four county teams play each other every year. But I don't think you could play three games each day, because Friday is a school day. You would be better off playing four games on Saturday and starting the first one about 11 AM. Maybe have Belfry host 2 games Friday night, have SV or PC host 2 more Saturday morning/afternoon, then have Pikeville host the final games that night.

And I agree that the organizers can do way better than what they did the last couple years. Looking at the schedule, neither of the two outside teams will be able to hang anywhere close to Belfry. I expect a Pirate blowout just like the Louisville Holy Cross game this past year.

The match ups kept me away last season and will do so again this coming season.
Itâs a shame that those in charge have let this bowl go down as far as it has.
The bowl game at papa johnâs stadium has five games all in the same day. There are other events that have more than two and they all work out very well.

Phelps can win this year i hear there boys are training hard in the weight room because they play east ridge they gave east ridge a good game last year they were winning at half time they just got tired out because east ridge had more players

just dont see that happening...although anything can happen but i dont think it is likely...East Ridge is working very hard in the weight room too and their offense and things were new to them at the time they played phelps in that scrimmage...and coach allen's boys will definitely be well conditioned

Thats just silly. East Ridge played awful that game the whole first half. East Ridge compleatly dominated the second half 35-7 with Phelps only scoring on the Warrior JV team. Just because ER has more players then Phelps dont mean thats why they won. Most of ER's player played both ways until the 4th. Now im not saying Phelps cant win next season. Because they can. I know it, Brad knows it, and the rest of the Warriors should know it. ER wont over look anyone next year. The last thing I will say is good luck to Phelps.
