Hey, I know where you are coming from when it comes to your worldwide fan base. People everywhere are always talking about your 1-21 record over the last two years. "Dawgmania" has apparently taken over the world. It's become quite the phenomenom. Cant blame anybody for wanting to be a part of that , can you?![]()
What he has is a legitimate potential chance to be considered, it aint guaranteed. There may not be many kids around here that can do what he does at his age, but worldwide there are a bunch of them. Remember kids get drafted out of all of Latin America, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc., too. and you have to compete with all of them. Would be a shame for him to blow that potential chance though.
Play small college football?...hmmm, a bunch of you Lawrence Co. fans post on here that he shouldn't even be the QB of his high school team, and then some others say he should be in the NFL. Listening to you guys is better than watching Saturday Night Live.
I'm pretty sure you were talking about our football team in this post. So if our team is so bad and your team is so bad.. I was asking who produces more athletes to play at the next level. Is that simple enough to comprehend???

Your previous quote:

I would assume when you say "we" you mean to say you were from Covington Catholic.
How about it?

Lawrence County Is Very Good If You Ask Me And That Is Just My Opinion On The Subject Matter. I Feel Like They Will Have An Extra Good Season Next Year And Will Win More Games Than They Will Lose. Who Knows, We Could Be Building A State Championship Team Within The Next 4 Or 5 Years. Anything Can Happen In The Dawg Pound!!!!! Dawg Fo Life!!!

Well JC has had some good teams here recently and I dont know of anyone from there playing at a Major D1 school??? So I don't know how you figure that one.

Wow you seem to be very knowledgable on the subject, so how many has LC put to a major D1 school since Coach Matney arrived at JC? How many wins combined do each school have for those years? Isn't that really what counts, the wins and losses? District? Playoffs? This is not really a subject anyone from LC needs to be getting into at the present moment in time bc LC has taken a major set back when it comes to football the past few years, and you would think it would have made you guys a tad bit humble, but apparently not, for some reason you have the same arrogance, and that just doesn't make any sense.

Ill tell you what i think, i think it's a very silly attempt at trying to prove a point that doesn't make any sense at all. There were only 3 players even mentioned in the records from LC, they were good players, but 3 players is not exactly dominance in the record books.

Well name me one player for JC that is on that list. But Jason Michael, Michael West, Garad Parker, Phillip Ratliff, Dontae Wright, Jared Hosstellar, to name a few all are better than anyone to ever come from JC. Oh wait I think Ron Blume is playing some major ball down in Grayson with KCU.

None of them ever make any sense in regards to what you are talking about.
He needs to be reminded once again about his previous statement.

What I do see though is that your name isn't on the list anywhere either, but then again you never did anything yourself at all though, did you? That's right, one of your buddies ratted you out.

To be honest I never played sports in high school and no one ratted me out because I will tell you my name anytime you want. Send me a IM and I'll give you the name anytime big man. You think you know me but you dont.. trust me..

Once again they are good players and that's all you had to say or even mention. The fact that you posted that link makes no sense even worse now because only 3 of the ppl you mentioned are even on there. I honestly thought this thread was about Lawrence County's upcoming season, but for some reason you have turned it into how many kids have went to D1 schools, which has nothing to do with anything about their upcoming season, and just between you and me, your not doing a very good job at proving your point. Just saying the same thing over and over doesn't really do it. However, I understand that your young and your just taking up for your alma mater, but I wish you could learn to have a conversation without turning it into something crazy and silly because it would be a lot better to talk to you if you were civil about things.

Was the spread offense given a real shot at working?
I won't drop any names but one of the coaches had me send him some tape on Kenton high school here in Ohio when Ben Mauk was the QB.
I even suggested to try and get in the 7-7 tourney that Kenton either runs or plays in.
Coach Mauk from Kenton has this system down.
He has a younger son who will be a soph this season I believe who threw(I am estimating) for 2,000 yards last season. He, from what I can gather is better than Ben was at this age.

Well the system would work but injuries over the last couple of years has killed us..... But no matter what system is put in no one will be happy because its not the Belly Offense.....
I know that the coaches work hard putting the kids in a system that best suits the program right now... I know we will still run a type of the spread this year coming but will also run some other stuff off of it.
Oh by the way nice to see you on here.

Thanks.
I still think they should call Kenton and find out about a 7 on 7 tourney.
I believe Kenton goes to one in Kentucky but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Batpuff Wrote:Well LC has some work to do there is no doubt about that.... The play calling wasnt bad for a first year coach...... You have to run the ball to throw the ball..... We have a great back coming back next year in Shane pack... Also with Hunter James coming on late in the year helps take the load off of Shane..... Chandler and Hayden both have great qualities but to put Chandler at running back is just crazy.....If anything he would need to play WR...... I really think we need to change some things up on D if we are going to win..... Everyone needs to look at the schedule we played last year with only 4 SR that played and 2 of them were first year players..... We have a schedule that we can get some wins and need to get that taste back.... Good Luck Lawrence Co!!!!!
ok chandler is a great athlete and can play almost anywhere on the field. but in order to take him out of the quarterback spot LC needs to get a QB because hayden is horrible.
possibly josh mills but they need a QB until then chandler will be playing there.
also shane pack needs to run the ball more up the middle and outside he is very effective but the line lacks the physical ability to hold the blocks for him to be as effective as he potentially could.

in my opinion LC needs to keep their best arm at QB if they want a decent passing game...and i think we all know who that is... instead of moving him around
