Despite their recent struggles, SV is still getting a lot of mileage from that 36-point thumping of Henry Clay earlier in the season. #14 is probably too high for them at this point and time.

NKY's top 4 teams make the top 25: #3 Holmes, #11 Boone Co, #19 Highlands, #25 Scott. Two of these teams face off tonigh with Boone @ Highlands.

Northern Ky's number five, Campbell County, has games with Scott tomorrow and Boone at the end of the week. Wins here could put the Camels in the rankings next month.

Cowbell,
4 teams ranked ahead of them in this poll lost after the poll was taken
SV is on a 4 game winning streak
Elliott County beat Anderson Cty by 4,#1 team should win by 10+
103 to 56 last game victory
We are narrowing the gap
#14 is way too low for SV at this point and time

Do you honestly think that the #14 team in the state should be struggling to beat East Ridge and Betsy Layne, both at home? These rankings were made after last weekend's games, so their blowout wins this week aren't factored in. When you consider how SV had been playing at the time these rankings were released, they certainly hadn't been looking like the #14 team in KY.
Now, I fully expect them to move up after this week. A 47-point and a 35-point win will do that for you.

I bet when this weeks rankings come out Scott Co. will be #1 after beating Bryan Station by 27. Elliotts only win this week was East Carter.

Wow, I never thought I'd see the day when Allen Central was the worst team in the region. Congrats to Shelby Valley on the 14 spot.

Holmes should be number one jmo.

Here's why I don't think Holmes will be #1
Bryan Station beat Holmes by 14
Holmes beat Scott Co by 5
Scott Co beat Bryan Station by 27
Also, Scott Co. has played a tougher schedule than Holmes.

Holmes also beat Bryan Station by 18 @ BS.
Holmes also lead the whole game by double digits against Scott, but Scott made a run at the end.
Can't really compare scores like that. It's really all about matchups. Imo I think Holmes is the best team in the state, but I know alot of people will disagree with that.

Wasn't saying who the best team was, I was saying who I thought would be #1 in the ratings. Since strength of schedule, winning margin, W/L record and a few other statistics probably determine where teams rank, with the win that Scott Co. had last night would raise them to #1 over Elliott Co.

Ok gotcha. I would rank Holmes and Scott over Elliott.
