Thoughts and predictions?

Shelby Valley by 15. I think they will be ready for this game.

Valley by 20, gonna be real ready for this game, Didnt they play already, once during regular season?

Yeah. Valley won by 12-15 or something like that.
This time around I expect Valley to play better, but I expect BL to play better also. I'll take Valley by 12 points.
Best of luck to both!

SV easy
25+
25+

Shelby Valley beat BL this past Thursday at home by 12. Betsy Layne's not lost at home yet. I think SV is a little better right now, but I believe BL makes this a close game, possibly pulling it out late. I'll take BL in a slight upset by 3.

Shelby Valley by 20+.
Justice dropped 27 on North Laurel on Saturday, and his play will cause the entire team to play better.

This game is at the Expo Center, so no one has home court advantage.

I'm not sure if the khsaa lists it as a BL home game, but this game isn't at Betsy Layne, it's on a neutral court.
SV is more than a little better than BL. SV played probably their worst game of the season in the first game between the two, but two things aill be different this time. One, Justice is continuing to get healthier by the week. Two, SV will treat this game with a little more respect after such a close game between the two, and there should not be any lazy, showboating passes like they did last week,
SV by 15-20.

Valley by 25+ in a statement game showing people they are the best team in the region. The 1st game, they probably overlooked BL and let them hang in there, plus Elisha wasn't healthy. He seemed to get his stroke back with 27 against North Laurel, so expect Valley to jump on the Bobcats early and then cruise for a big win.

Shelby Valley is only a little better?
Valley will win this first round game by 20+! Good luck to both!

valley big elisha is gonna be ready cause last time against betsy layne they made him mad at the end so get ready for revenge

i could be wrong but i just dont see valley blowing bl out ....i was there at sv and bl gave them everything they wanted.....im gonna say sv by ten or less in a very good game between imo the best two teams in the region

I agree SV is more than a little better than BL if SV plays the way they are capable this game should not be close, the only reason the first game was closer than expected was due to a sorry played game by SV, don't see it happening this time SV by 25.

I was at the game to SV played poorly, that was the only thing that kept BL in the game. Don't see it happing two games in a row. SV by 25+.

Did you forget about Betsy Layne losing to Prestonsburg by 16?
01-12-2009, 10:12 PM
Valley by 8
01-12-2009, 10:16 PM
I think this game will be a complete opposite showing from Valley than what they did the first time around. Valley will come ready to play and win by 26. Don't forget that this court is not the same size as high school, so I feel Valley is in better shape than Betsy Layne. Best of luck to both teams though.

BL better get a point guard who can get the ball across half court...why is Bryce Adkins not running point anymore???? makes no since to me...and when BL shoots 3 pointers, they better follow their shot..something they never do.....
why doesn't Bryant Tibbs and Jordan Newman get to play more than what they do? And why was Tibbs sat down almost the entire 3rd quarter during the SV game? he is the only one that will rebound on that team......

Gotta agree with you, with Justice feeling better game by game, looking for him and the team to be playing more like the team that played the first 5 or 6 games of this season. GO WILDCATS

Valley by 16.

by what I saw at their last meeting. And the way Shelby Valley has played lately.BL just needs to guard the big men. let Bryant and Justice keep playing like the globe trotters with those grade school pases. and BL wins by 10.Valley plays with more heart at the beginning of basketball season .Coach Rowe would of had this team running and gunning by now.

Don't see that happening, SV I agree played better at the start of the season but still BL is out matched in this one. SV by alot!!!

SV will not take BL lightly again.SV by 15.

the game not being on the same size court will only hurt valley ....its harder to press on a bigger floor because the teams have more room to operate....

Everyone on here is saying sv didnt play to the best what about bl. They had 26 turnovers, so if you think the bobcats played to their best ability your wrong. I think the point is doing just fine. The bobcats will be fine. Remember something bobcats.
1 your still the underdog
2 to be the man you have to beat the man
3 nathan martin and bryce adkins shoot, shoot, and then shoot
4 josh head/ritchic tackett/bryant tibbs work your but off
bobcats stay humble and dont get cocky
my prediction...........one heck of a game at the expo

playing any team, be humble. Show that bobcat pride speaks for itself.
