Kentucky barely escapses Vanderbilt. The Wildcats blows a 20 point lead, start turning the ball over after Vandy puts some pressure on. Meeks had 21.

Thoughts and opinions on the game.
I personally think we did a horrible job rebounding this game. Great game from harris, meeks, patterson, stevenson, and liggins. We did a horrible job the last few minutes of the game, letting vandy getting with in 6 points i think at one time.

Only caught the final 5 minutes or so of the game and thought Kentucky was playing really well, but Vandy buckled down and started hitting their shots and forcing turnovers.

I was very impressed with how Vandy's D played. They ratcheted up the D and forced the Cats out of their game.

I though UK looked good at some point throughout the game. I think Billy Clyde has really found a rotation of players he is comfortable with down this big SEC stretch of the schedule. I though Harris and Harrelson both had good games for the cats today.

I'm glad we won, but disappointed with some aspects of the game. Once again, we had another slow start and at the end it was as if we quit and it just about came back to bite us. I think if we could put together an entire 40 minutes of basketball we will be very tough. Another, I know we have good players at UK...however their basketball IQ isn't all that great. No one would come back to the ball during the press late in the second half, instead they were running down court and probably trying to get a chance to keep their scoring averages up. I think we also forced too many poor shots, run the offense and scoring oppertunities will arise. Overall, a win is a win.

I didnt watch the game but I did listen to it on the radio. Def a win that we needed.

At least Porter played horrible as usually.

Was glad to see Harris playing as well as he did

I think Liggins is starting to get better, what you think?

Harris had a nice game for the Cats today to fill Patterson's voids. Meeks had a pretty nice game as well. Pretty good win for UK expect for the little scare at the end. Congrats Cats!

I like that the scoring was a little more spread out in this game. Shows that other players on the team can actually score.

Porter played horrible? I was at this game and I thought he played sound basketball. If anyone played horrible in this game, it was Darius Miller.

Porter was solid. Not spectacullar but steady. He also iced the game at the freethrow line. I don't really know what more people want from the kid.

He has improved from the start of the season, but I still feel he dribbles to high, makes unforced turnovers (which everyone on the team does) and gets lost in defense....on the bright side though, his attitude has improved the most which lead to a spark that caused us to have a 20pt. lead at one time. Now if we all could just keep it and close a game out.

Couldn't have said it better!

I think we played a decent overall game today. Porter had his moments and so did Liggins but we are still lacking a true point guard and it kills us. But I'll give Porter a little credit, he played a alright game today.

I think Uk is in desperate need of a "true" point guard. Porter does not have to qualities it takes to compete against other true point guards around the nation, he can't guard them, and when they put pressure on him it usually winds up in a turnover, or Meeks is having to bail him out. I think they were hoping Miller would step in that role, but he obviously is a wash.

Porter's play over the last few games has proved that he is getting better. Porter has barely turned the ball over in the past few games. Obviously you don't know too much about basketball because Porter played well today. He came up huge for the Cats down the stretch hitting clutch shots from the foul line. I agree that Porter is not a typical SEC guard, but if you are going to say that then say it about every single guard on the roster with the exception of Jodie. Maybe Billy Clyde will eventually bring a higher quality player in years to come but as for now this is what you are stuck with. I think Billy G will lead our boys in the right direction.

IMO he's the best defender we have.

You just contradicted yourself, first you say i don't know what i am talking about and then you agree with me about the exact same thing? Makes no sense what you said, and if you would actually read what i posted you would see that i said "UK" is in need of a point guard, which would imply they need to bring in a high quality player, and that nobody on their team is an SEC caliber point guard. Even Meeks isn't a point guard, he's a shooting guard, and if that's what you think then you don't know what your talking about. If your gonna try and insult somebody atleast make sense when you do it.

I would rather have Galloway out there at anytime than Porter, no matter how he is playing.

Well I always give credit where credit is due, but I'm still not totally sold on Porter starting PG.
