What is Wrong With Breathitt

Breathitt seems to be struggling really hard right now. Rumor has it that everyone is fixing to quit. If so, Riverside may have hope to pulling off the big upset this year in the district tournament.

This is one of the most athletically talented teams in EKY. Look at the roster. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? JBS is good, but they manhandled BHS from what I heard.

It was pretty bad. I know you have the football team coming out late. You always have the football late. Holcomb does an unbelievable job. Holcomb to me is the bear Bryant of HS football. It never has hurt breathitt BB to much in the past. I am sad that I do not see any young kids over there playing. There is 3 kids right now that play on over half the high schools in the region. Trent, Hamilton, Cox. and a 7th grader, The coach nobles son Wes. If anybody should know that is coach noble himself. When he coached at SMS he won the middle school state title. Beating June Buchan. They played those HS. and later on Defeated the breathitt team with ease. Experience is the key.

Breathitt will be alright you have a new coach. I hear Nick Noble will be back soon. That will help. The football players are not in a basketball mode just yet. They are getting better everyday. Doug is a good coach. He will get them there in time IMO. And yes JBS is a good team they did lose some good players but they kept some too. Also dont forget Breathitt is young team. BHS, JHS, or Wolfe can all win it the way it is right now. BHS does have a DEEP and ATHLETIC team, but it is not getting them wins. The Insider heard that Evans from Wolfe was ruled able to play, but is out with back pains. When he gets back the 55th could get real interesting.

That is a fine argument if you are winning. So you are saying bringing younger kids up to a high school experience is wrong and not benefical?Lets look at what it has done for several players. Even Kendall at breathitt. She started and was 14th regional tournament mvp in the 7th grade.

Know i am not saying that at all you must bring your 8th grade kids over to the high school. If Noble is not doing this he does not need to be coaching. I for one dont think Noble is cut out to be a high school coach anyway, form what i have seen he has know discipline at all. One of the players on the bus from the JB. game was saying the F- word in front of the cheerleaders and he would not say anything to him. One of the other coaches had to get up and make him stop. Then the player got up in the coaches face and Noble still would not make him stop. Then the Superintendent sent word to the high school for something to be done about it.

The title of this post is what is wrong with Breathitt? The people will find out soon that they have the wrong coach in place. Noble is a good person but he is not a high school basketball coach, some people are cut out to go to the moon and some are not.

I did not hear about the bus incident. I have just been watching the games. there is a whole lot of taslent at that middle school and I know there is several players good enough to start varsity at over half the teams of the region. I would take cox, hamilton, trent, wes (dougs son), chaney and go 500 in the 14th this year. The hamilton and Noble kid to me are both Division 1 prospects.

With the win against North Laurel, looks like the Bobcats are doing okay to me! North is a good team and Breathitt played very well, looks like things aren't as bad as people think. Give the new coach and kids an opportunity to get acclamated to each other a little bit before bashing all of them. They are already better than they were last year. Give them a few more games and they will be ready for the district and ready to make a run at the region.

I am not trying to bash anyone. I am just trying to throw around some simple points. No one is bashing any kids just trying to take up for them all.

Breathitt will be just fine, but I highly doubt that they will even get close to a region title.

I will say this about channing. In all of my days I have never seen a more talented running back in the mountains. If he can play basketball the sameway they should be in the the top 25. HE is a super a:1: thlete.

You can not take this this far. Breathitt is good but not as good as Perry, Hazard, Letcher, and Knott. I do think with Channing they will be fine come March because they have a big body to go to when needed. He adds a whole new weapon to the bobcats.

Breathitt coach told me that Fugate was not even one of his top 5 players.

Fugate is a top football player but he is not that good of basketball player. Football is his sport.

They Doug needs to reevaluate. Because without the athletism and stregnth of fugate he would be in a hard place exspecially without taulbee.
