I heard the coach is not controlling his players as he should. He is letting them run over top of his, and it is getting out of control. He needs to do something about it now, before it carries over to the highschool because they definitely don't need more attitude and are not going to put up with it either

Coach Fairchild is a very good coach, his only problem is politics, not discipline.

I don't think your as concerned about " Johnson County's 8th grade team " as you are spreading rumors about their coach. Based on your quote, your thread should have been "Guess what I heard about Coach Fairchild". I honestly don't see any truth to what you"heard". Why can't these threads be about stats, player information (without trashing them) and opinions w/ good sportsmanship.

You probably haven't went through the three point shooting contests and the drawing of names out of a hat for starting positions. (Just to please a few spoiled parents). Take a look at the amount of 8th graders on the team now and the amount of freshman we have and tell me something is not wrong. These are not rumors but facts!

I've not been around to see any of this , nor has my son told of any of it. Yours sounds like eye witness accounts, the one who started this thread was going on what he heard. I still don't think this is the place to disscuss these matters.
I didn't mean to step on a vein of yours Eagle Pride. I too have had my fill of "spoiled parents" in all sports, but I guess it'll be that way till my son graduates. Keep up the Pride, I'm done, Go Eagles!!

Is it true that Jimmy Preston, Garrett Lemaster, Dyan Staniford and Chase Blevins have quit since the season began. These are some excellent athletes. What is the problem?

Avey is a good coach but he does need to have more discipline in his coaching but other than that he knows what he is doing

Jason Shepherd has the discipline

I played for coach Fairchild and thought he was a very good coach he knows the game..and the boys that quit are just like like alot of johnson county kids...think there the star and so do ther parents.

Surely these kids dont have attitudes but one of them could have picked up on what BIG brother has been doing lately:eek:

When I say this, I'm not bashing the kids because they are that - kids. However, there are some attitudes there that aren't flattering to them or their parents. Now, thats a first hand account of attitudes outside of practice. I think the coaches are doing what they feel is best; they need support not criticism. If you need to criticize, do it privately one on one with the coaches and definitely not right after a game. That's not the time nor the place.
