POWELL COUNTYS RECORD IS 1 WIN AND 10 LOSES. THE WIN IS FROM THEIR FIRST GAME AGAINTS JACKSON CITY. I KNOW HARD TO BELIEVE BUT IT IS TRUE. THE TEAM IS TRYING ITS BEEN A TOUGH YEAR WITH A NEW COACH DIFFERENT WAYS AND ONLY 2 PLAYERS HAVING VARSITY EXPERIENCE VERY LITTLE AT THAT. That is a tough set of circumstances for Powell. I expect their new coach to get the team going in a couple of years to be able to compete against their district again.

Another loss for Powell...how surprising! Looks like another explosive performance by Bill Rice. I'm tellin' you, with a year he is having, he will get a good scholarship.

I don't know if I would be putting up stats and averages per game, they don't mean a thing when the team loses.

Hey at least their trying!! I'm proud of our guys, cause we could have lost by more.Hopefully we will be a better team next year with some of the 8th graders coming to the team next year and providing their talent! Keep up ur heads guys!

You also have to look at how many minutes each of these guys are getting. Creech and Reed play close to 30 min a game. Rice plays about 22-25 min a game. However, Arvin, Conley, and Jones play very limited minutes. Conley and Arvin are lucky to see 15+ min a game. AJ averages about 4 or 5 min. Considering the averages Arvin , Conley, and Jones are putting up in the limited amount of time they play its pretty impressive.

Billy Rice is a good athlete. The improvement between his junior and senior year in football was tremendous. He plays hard for Coach Hall in basketball. I hate to see a good kid who gives great effort put down.
