good start for Phelps, but they have only played 1 region opponent. When they start playing region teams we will all see what kind of team they are. Congrats on the win Hornets!

Pikeville and Pike Centrel were both region games for the Hornets. Both were also close games.

But nonetheless CONGRATS boys!!

phelps has beat 2 regional opponents. pike central and pikeville.

You are right. The Pike Central game slipped my mind. They are one of the regions weaker teams though. But nonetheless, congrats again Hornets!

Who's Gilbert WV??? I'm sorry but Phelps schedule is whack, Pikeville was a good win, and I'll give it to them.

I don't understand why you would rather play out of state teams rather than region teams.. It's not like they are going to play Gilbert in districts!!!

If I'm not mistaken Gilbert has gone to the state in the last 4 years in WV

Congrats to Phelps. I'm surprised that Phelps only won by 13. Gilbert has made state tourney the last three years, but they lost there entire starting lineup from last year.

Phelps kept a 20+ lead about all game,subs in 4th qtr.

FIRST OF ALL GILBERT IS ONE OF THE TOP PROGRAMS IN SINGLE A IN WV. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION MR. MISTER SINCE ALL OF THE KY TEAMS HAS MERGED PHELPS IS ONE OF THE FEW LEFT IN THE COLD.THIER IS NOT ALOT OF TOP ONE A SCHOOLS LEFT OUT THERE.SHELBY VALLEY INCLUDED.I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE NUMBERS.HOW CAN YOU BE DOUBLE A IN ONE SPORT AND SINGLE A IN ANOTHER.

Yhanks for the post I know Clay personally and he doesn't like running up the score on anyone. The way some people posted on here they made it sound like a really close game. I was kinda concerned because Gilbert lost there entire starting lineup from last year and they are really down this year. When they play Matewan that will be a good test because Matewan is a really good Class A team. Next year I would likie to see phelps play Tug Valley. The Panthers are AA and are really good.

But I'll try to anwer your question... For instance Cross Country only goes up to 3A. Football on the other hand goes up to 6A.
