#1
Final....Hazard only scored 10 points in the second half and only 3 in the 4th quarter...
#2
Here's the way I heard it....

Hazard lost to St. Xavier 45-37 in game that was much closer until closing half minute or so and game in which Hazard was ahead 9 in 1st half and 7 at halftime. Xavier won 1st quarter 9-8. Hazard won 2nd quarter 19-11. Xavier won 3rd quarter 12-7 and last quarter 13-3.

What's up with Hazard, 37 points? Hazard is a very good team with a ton of potential, whats going on with them?

Are they playing with a full roster? Injuries? Seems like they have been struggling lately.

The Dwags seem to be struggling

Was this tourney in Lexington? Just wondering if the traveling or the staying down there had anything to do with it.

It was in Lexington and I believe they left Hazard either Christmas Day or the day after so they have been there almost a week.

If I'm not mistaken, Hazard returned home after their game Saturday then went back before the GRC game.

I tried to tell everyone you ain't gonna go there and win, look who won the whole thing, surprise surprise. I wasn't at the game but I bet there were alot of bad calls for Hazard. The teams around here are alot better than what they played in this tourny, but I know for fact KCC didn't play worht anything but there were alot of bad calls too, some that if called fairly would have made a world of difference in the outcome of the games. I ain't tryin to make excuses but the truth is the truth.

I agree...you really cant expect to go up and win against those lexington teams they just have to many athletes and a deeper bench then what teams are used to seeing around here..they had the best showing in the mountains though..good job

Anyone who has ever went straight from football to basketball knows it is tough to get into basketball shape. I have heard a number of players that I know say it was difficult. I dont' think it is an excuse, just a fact. Hazard might not be better beacuse of this even after some time playing more, but it could possibly make a difference and I think all Hazard fans feel that way. Even, with Back in the line-up Hazard will be a different team, who knows. Everyone is different and may see this a different way. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Many ranked Hazard as #1 in the region. Considering Hazard's recent performance it certainly dosen't say much for the rest of the region teams!

I disagree, the 14th region is as strong as its been in awhile. Hazard is a very good team. they just struggled a lil bit in this tourney as well as KCC stuggled this past week.

I've also been told from football players that going staight to basketball is difficult. But the Hazard football players seemed to be playing fine until they lose. But who knows they may not be in shape, but im telling you that that they seem to be playing just fine to me.

Fort Myers Florida didnt win a game down there the were terrible...... Jacob Jenkins and the 6'8 kid for Manual played for 5min in the first quarter and sat out the rest of the game. PCC beat Manual pre-season with both these players playing the whole game.

When they step up against a real team (Clark County) they get beat by 30 and they should have beat Saint X but didnt show up to play.

They're not the only team to not win a game in that tournament....... I'm a Hazard fan, but I honestly think that out of the teams in the 14th region Perry Central had the most consistent play. They won one, took one to overtime with a chance to win, and lost one by 9 I think. Neither Hazard nor Knott has played Perry yet, and it may end up to be a bigger task than they expect.
