JBS 08-09 baseball team?

With all the kids going to Knott Central and Letcher Central what does JBS have coming back for this years baseball season?

you are right there was no one with a blazin fastball the king kid was the best pitcher that they had

king was not actually their best pitcher potter was june buchanans ace last year.

Honestly though, will they even have enough for a team? They lost the 4 All Distirict boys to KCC and Kincaid to LCC. They only have 8 or 9 on the basketball team. I will be very shocked if they even have a team.

I saw the King kid pitch last year. I agree he may not have thrown as hard as other top pitchers in the region, but remember he was just a Freshman and he did locate his pitches very well. If I remember the Letcher team you are so high on all the time only got three runs off him in the finals of the District, and 2 of those were because of 2 missed flyballs. So don't be go overboard with HOW FAST someone throws, because now days in high school, unless your are throwing in the 90's if it's down the middle good hitters are going to catch up to it. WERE YOU THROW IT means as much as how hard you throw it.

Yeah, that is sad, they still have some good players there, Sure hope they get to have a team.

This is why we were talking about speed because this comment was made. I wish you guys would read the posts before you get on here and say stuff that just shows how biased and unrefined most of your posts are. Oh i agree with you about the whole "it doesn't matter how fast you throw," but that wasn't even the conversation, someone said he had a blazin fastball and that is not the case..

FBIMAN was making the comment that how fast you throw doesn't matter, and i used the quote before to show him that wasn't what we had been talking about, i made the comment that they didn't have anyone who could throw a "blazin" fastball and he turned it into it doesn't matter how fast they throw, but i was never arguing that point. Anything else you need cleared up?

you should pay attention to your own post and read ALL the posts. the guy with the blazin fastball that your refering to was supposed to be at jbs this year and like i said i dont know anybody left at jbs who has a blazin fastball. the post that started this conversation wasnt even about the players that left it was about the players that are still playing at jbs. and king doesnt even go to jbs anymore he goes to kcc. so why dont we go back to talking about people who actually play at jbs now instead of last year.

Since were pointing out details, the post didn't say King had a blazin fastball, it said someone from JBS had one and then someone followed up and said King was their best pitcher, the you posted "Yea and that is as far away from "blazin" as you can get...." NO WHERE IN THIS THREAD DID IT SAY KING HAD A BLAZIN FASTBALL, maybe you need to REFINE your posts with correct information, then maybe yours won't seem so biased.

I notice JBS has only 11 games scheduled, 8 of which are district games which are required, I would like to see them have a team, I know they have at least 7 players that have played baseball there before and it would be a shame for them not to get to play.

I stand corrected but that was it and what i said was not a lie so I don't see the problem. The poster agreed that no one had a blazin fastball, but they went on to speculate that they were talking about the King kid and that is when i said that if they were they were wrong because he didn't have a blazin fastball. Is there anything in that wrong?

Id say JBS will have a team but, who knows? why did everyone leave jbs team anyways? as far as pitching goes i dont think they will have anything blazing fast but, they will do fine im sure.

ive talked to some people that i think would know and i would say that the kids left because they were not gauranteed that the school would be there for more than this year. thats all i know.

either way i jsut think its really dirty that they abandoned their fellow teammates. or did they even have many left?
