Tell me your thoughts on forfeits. I noticed the last couple of weeks that a few teams (i.e. Perry Central and Phelps) have made the other team forfeit and counted it as a win.
Do coaches worry about win-loss record too much? My point is that most high school players only have a few years or less to enjoy varsity play. Therefore, they should be given the chance to enjoy and play in as many games that the KHSAA allows them to play in. When coaches count forfeits as wins, their players get slighted a varsity game to play in.
Life is short. High school basketball is awesome
(and short as well) and slighting the players a game or two throughout their careers because of a forfeit is doing them a disservice.

a forfeit is a win in any sport,not just basketball.
i heard the reason it was cancelled phs1986, is that big creek had also scheduled to play in a tournament @ hurley va. the same night.been trying to find out more info to verify it but have not been able to talk to coach campbell to find out.will post when i know.

Thanks HP... I was curious since PHELPS got the blame for this forefit....
Sometimes you just can't "double" schedule yourself!!
