Although, I thought the refs did a decent job, they still let MC away with too much. I can't figure coach Amburgey out, why did he not have Amburgey under the goal more, if he had of, the rebounding would have been better for KCC. I wonder also when we beat PCC, will be a team that will contend or who else will we have to beat in order for any of you perry county fans to admit that KCC is number 1.
When you beat pcc?:lmao: Well im pretty sure that has not happened yet, and id lay down money that it is not going to either. Plus This is a Hazard team who is just getting use to playing together again and once Eric Back is eligible they are going to be dangerous.

The bottom line is that KCC is suppose to win this game. They are extremely talented and have been playing together for a while now. I feel it shouldn't have been this close this early.Hazard is only a shade of a team that they will be by season end. When everyone is in basketball form and the Back kid starts playing this will be a totally different team. Knott will still have a chance to get out of this region, but the road to Rupp still runs through perry county.

cox and stamper played very well for the patriots lastnight and they showed everyone their the top 2 players in the region.....they should be 1 and 2 and then followed up with whitaker in the 3 spot.....tate had a great game leading the patriots to the victory.....congrats pats

The thing that really impressed me in this game is KCC beat Hazard while Hazard controlled the game. A final score of 54-52 shows a slow tempo, hallfcourt game, which benefits the Dogs with their inside presence. For the past two games KCC has been unable to control the tempo and still won! if they can get a team to shoot quick shots and run up and down the court i believe these games may not be as close....imo
Tops for the region is very close, between Hazard, KCC, Perry, and Letcher but at this point, with wins over LCC, Hazard, and North Hardin i feel like KCC has to be put in front, that is at this point tho.
Really excited about basketball this season, going to be a good one

Knott may not have won by alot and yes hazard had players that only had 2 days of practice but they still won, too me that puts them at the top of the 14th even if they have not played pcc yet. But this argument isnt gonna be settled untill wymt.

Good early season game by both teams. I can see both of these teams improving and should be fun to watch them in March. Good luck to both teams this year.

I like how everyone is just counting hazard out again except this time its at Basketball. Al Holland is one of the best coaches in eastern kentucky and probably the state. HE is going to look at this game as a learning experience and make the needed corrections. Already KCC fan think they have won the grand daddy of them all. This game doesnt count for anything except Bragging rights. Wait til Tournament time and see who will be on the edge. The best thing KCC fans can hope for is if PCC and Hazard draw each other first in districts. Do not get me wrong KCC has one of the best teams in the 14th region and been playing together a little longer than this Hazard team but let me remind you that PCC is still a contender as well and playing excellent ball so you might want to watch out for them. The teams i expect to see before the final games are LCC,KCC, PCC and Hazard.

but seriously, from what I saw when they played PCC, there was no way I would have gave them a #4 ranking in the state! There are several teams that I could name that could have taken that team down easily. IDK if they didn't have all their players or what, but they didn't show they were worthy of #4 that day.

EXACTLY! Their football players played extremely well!! Campbell did really well last night, so they shouldn't even mention football being a reason why they lost.. excuse....

I would agree with that. I think Knott may be at the top right now. But I expect the order to switch some throughout the season.

Let's all remember that Cox and Stamper are likely two of the best guards in this region and they are on the same team. The Dawgs are going to have to step up in order to take this dream duo down. I hope the Dawgs can get Whitaker some help out front. But, also remember Whitaker just came back from an injury. At the first of the game, I am glad Stamper stepped up with his teammates, put the Pats in position to win this game. Now, the Dawgs will come around, no doubt, when their football guys get in better shape. Good luck to both teams this season. It was such a wonderful game, well coached (on both sides) and well called. I am looking for more from the Stamper kid, who just keeps on getting better and better. :Thumbs:

and campbell did really well. IDK how many kidd had, but as for campbell he shot some of the best he has ever shot last night, so football was apparently not holding him back....

who else played football that will give them key minutes besides Martin? No one I'd say. Kidd had 9 I think which may be a career high, and Campbell didnt miss hardly and had about 15 or so. that was 2 of their leading scorers. Hazard, looked sharp to me. Bottom line, Hazard, you lost so take it. Knott should be able to brag a little , they hadnt beat you in 9 years. I think everyone is just so excited to have a team that is capable of going to Rupp. IMO that game was good for both teams, it was a good confidence game for Knott, and a wake up call for Hazard. Everyone can talk all they want, PCC , you can too, but the bottom line is, KCC, Hazard, PCC, and LCC may beat up on each other during the season and WYMT, but the one that really counts is in FEB. so rankings and all that crap means nothing. It would take a fool to say Knott will win the region because they just beat Hazard, or if PCC beats Knott, that wont mean a thing either. Its who wins in the end. Imo Knott and Hazard has the best talent overall, sorry but Maggard and Noble are nowhere near Cox and Stamper or Whitaker and Jones or Back or whoever you want to mention. But PCC has good players as does LCC. Banks is tough. It will be a veryentertaining season to say the least. May be the strongest this region has ever been as far as competing with the rest of the state. The champ could very easily be playing on Sat. morning in Rupp this year.
