I think the coaching staff for EC has done much better this year with the substitutions than last year. I agree some nights they just can't help scoring that much, as coaches, you can't tell them not to play hard or don't shoot.

I think it is an insult to the other team to not play to the best of your ability, no matter what the score. That is why I hate when people complain about running the score up. How dare you "dumb down" your team's play because you are beating someone so bad. If I was on the losing end (which, of course, I have been before, like we all have) I would be more mad about a team not trying then if they beat us 200-0. Now, playing your starters when you are up 50 is a different story, but obviously the coach did a good job of taking them out the 2nd and 4th q's as someone previously posted.

eeewwww weeee....any team that can put up 132 points with its starters only playing 2 quarters deserves some kind of respect in my book.

Actually it was 42-17 after 1. The starters did play in the second quarter but it didnt matter they could have scored 170 if they wanted. boyd County had a real good game plan, try and press and run with them. We see how well that worked out. EC shot lights out from 3.

Exactly... I know of games from just last night where a team was up 25+ and was still pressing! Kind of sad if you ask me.

Nine in the scoring column is not that bad. Boyd County pushed the pace as well. Elliott County is just that good. I don't think it was shameful at all.

There are only 14 players on the roster. The starters never saw minutes in the 4th quarter and all 5 starters only played together 1st and 3rd quarters.

They did not run the score up the starters didn't even get to play that much due to substitutions. Don't begrudged an awesome team an overwhelming win just because of the final score. I would have like to seen the starters have more time on the floor together. They have 2 big games coming up and need floor time too. I am glad to see the bench get quality time on the floor as well but it would have been pretty cool to potentially hit 200 pts in one game.

The Lions from Elliott are legit and extremely entertaining to watch. Check them out and you too will become a fan, unless your supporting the opposing team.
