This guy is the real deal, bull. I was told he was from Perry County, is this true? Does he still live there?

Channing lives in Breathitt county. He went to school in Perry County because his parents own an entertainment center up there. Saw this yesterday and looks like Channing and Fitch are the best two backs in the state. What an accoplishment as a Junior!

Yes he did go to the perry central. They moved for football.

134 on central is impressive but one player cannot do it all

Does anyone know how many rushing yds. Channing had for the season and how many rushing td's and how many receiving yds. this season and receiving td's. Also, how many rushing yards and touchdowns so far in his career.

Well said.
I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok -Shaquille O'Neal

He had another unbelievable season and it always amazed me how such a small county like Breathitt consistently fields a great team. Coach Halcomb is a great coach and has a great program.

Channing isnt the team. Ask him, he will tell ya, if it wasnt for his O line, we wouldnt even be talking about him. Alot of credit has to go to his O line.

he did alright against central. still a good back but the central defense was just to much for him.

They moved in2003 when Chase was a senior;Colby was a freshman and Channing was in middleschool. Not for football.

How many yards and TDS did he have as a FR. The state record is 8224 for a career, the season record is 3361 yards. yards in a game is 574. Rushing TDS in a career is 110. season is 50.
By what i can find out he got 4646 yards rushing, and 65 TDS. I don't know nothing about his FR year. I never added the yards and TDS from last night on here. I think he have 133 yards, i am not 100% about that.

His freshman year he did not get the ball much, at that time Breathitt had beckam herald and he was the show. He did get to run sum, but i think he caught more passes in the backfield off wheel routs and such.

He Is Good But Has To Have A Good O-line To Get It Done
12-14-2008, 08:06 PM
Congrats to Fugate! He was one of the most exciting players to watch this year. I saw him play against Prestonsburg. He is one of the toughest runners i've seen in a long time.

What good RB doesn't have to have a good O-Line. I find it funny that a lot of people on here think that one player should be able to win games for teams. Yes 1 player can win games when you aren't playing anybody but not when you are playing a total team.

I agree that the O-Line is a big part of the success..but dont take anything away from Channing..this kid is real.

Remember Barry Sanders..... Not saying he is but Barry had NO line.

Congrats on a outstanding season and good luck to him in the future he is an awesome player.
