Just in case there are any Reds fans on here during the offseason, just thought I'd mention this...

Seems like a good deal for the Reds. Freel always had trouble staying healthy, so losing him isn't a big deal. The two prospects could end up as productive major leaguers, but they weren't considered among the Reds' top prospects.
Hopefully this will solidify the catcher spot for Cincinnati next year.

I think that is a solid move for the reds. Filled a need for the team.

Bako wasn't doing much at the dish offensively, hopefully this guy can come in and contribute instead of a garunteed out. Good move by the Reds organization though.

I think this trade will work out for Cincy because Freel hustles a lot, but his batting is terrible and he's injured quite a bit.

hate to see Freel go but the REDS needed a solid catcher.
