I wanna here the people's thoughts on who the best high school running back from Kentucky is.
#2
Shaun Alexander would get some votes. He may not be the best, but his career at all levels was great. UK let him get away.
#3

#4

#5

UK didn't let him get away. They didn't want him.

Don't you know that he was too slow to play major college football?

Bill Curry is a good man and was really nice to be around. But some of his decision making just was not good.

Yep, I kinda forgot about that. It would have been nice to have had the offensive talent, and Joker recruiting him, we had the past two years before this year. Maybe they would have recruited him, and maybe he would have considered UK.

IMO I think Shaun Alexander is the best as for being fast alexander was very fast in high school until college and Nfl molded him into a fb type rb

Another good rb was derek homer from ft knox
#11
Kasey Clark, Josh Gross, Shaun Alexander, Arliss Beach are some good ones. I can't really decide on the best one.
#12
Well, if you are talking HS only, I think Arliss Beach would get some consideration. If you're talking college and pro level..... Has to be Shaun Alexander.

That remark about being to slow was a quote from Curry on why he didn't recruit Alexander. It was sarcasm.

Well my bad on that part about stating my own opinion but I feel that Im right about the NFL molding him into a fb type hb but its wrong to say what i feel.
#15

No its not wrong.

I was just stating that we didn't really think he was slow. We were making fun of Bill Curry for not recruiting him.

Chill. 10-9-8-7....... and breath.

#21

#22

#23
From Pikeville: Brent Coleman, Steve Bailey, Greg Hackney, Barrett Rogers, and Daniel Harmon just to name a few. There are still way too many others from Pikeville to name.
#24
Anyone seriously believes anyone other than Alexander or Hornung deserves this honor could be committed....

The second tier RB's is a pretty good debate as there are a few current and former NFL players to mention, as well as some phenominal players who made it to the D-1 level or just dominated their level.
#25
Shaun Alexander...Amen!
#26
No discussion needed...Shaun Alexander.
#27
Shaun Alexander.
