so much for the close game everyone expected, congrats to the pirate defense and special teams they played very well tonight. the offense, however is still coming along and didnt look as smooth as it should have. ALOT of passing in this game, congrats to east ridge on a good game thier defense held us to only 3 offensive tds good luck the rest of the season!

I won't be a mean person about the predicitons that was made about this game. Glad the pirates got to work on a few things with the younger kids.

ER did not play as well as expected. A couple of the boys had some decent stats, Fletcher got another interception, making at least 3 so far this season. I hated to doubt our boys but this was expected. At least no one got hurt and stuff though. This probably was the best game that they had against Belfry in all of the previous years. Give them time, a tradition may be starting. They need years of work but it can be done. More schools are starting junior high teams that will at least give them a little background on the game.

Congrats to Belfry. Better luck next time East Ridge.

you are right there tribe they definitley played us better than ever....sorry about the outcome but good luck the rest of the way, take away the 2 punt ret tds and the int td and it would only have been 21-0 but great game and in a few years they may have somethin there in east ridge

I hope so Mr. I.
The football tradition is not in the people here around East Ridge as it is many surrounding schools. P-burg, Belfry, and many other places live, eat, breathe, and sleep football and well, East Ridge doesn't. They are more of a basketball oriented school, so maybe in a few years the program will grow, kids will start younger, the parents and community will be more involved, and the program as a whole will become stronger and evolve.
We can only hope for the best.

congrats to belfry. Maybe a few keys plays here and there and the score wouldnt have been what it was but you all are still a very well disciplined, strong, hard working football team and i wish you guys luck throughout the rest of the season.

I won't be a jerk...lets just leave it at I was right...ER just can't compete with the Pirates... and if the Pirates wouldn't have worked so much on passing it may have been worse.

To ER's credit this was by far their best showing in the past few years. They did move the ball a little and did show some signs of being able to stop Belfry.

ER is improving every year. Will take some time to build a Belfry type football tradition. Keep working hard warriors. It'll come with hard work and time.

We're showing good signs of improvement compared to the previous years. We still have a long way to go with our football program, but in years to come we will be a team to reckon with IMO. Good Luck in the rest of your season Pirates.
