CAM i dont want to start trouble but there has been no SC fans post on here but me and inthezone and he said that they missed a few block in the back calls at the end of the game we never once said that it was because of the refs we lost unless a belfry fan was talking about it. Yes belfry was the better team tonight and that is why they won, They are on a mission this year and now i hope the best for them and hope they win and bring a title back to the moutains.

Not really surprised here. Good season for Sheldon Clark, but Belfry is just too good this year.

Belfry crowd much better tonight. I was sitting the the dead zone though...I'm def changing spots next week!

Then i apologize i did not see it. I just hate how we have some fans that get on here and make us look like dang idiots. The seasons over its not the REF's fault we lost we just played a better team tonight. Its good your behind the team but some of the stuff i see on here gets pretty ridiculous and i think some need to grow up and act like the adults they are, get behind your team for the have a lot returning and will be a threat again next year.

Every team has fans like that. SC played a good game tonight but like I said Belfry was just the better team. Keep your heads up there is always next year.

Yeah I've come to realize that. there is always next year and we need to work hard over the off season to better ourselves. But good luck rest of the playoffs and bring that hardware back home to the mountains where it belongs.

tell me what the difference in blowing the horn when the other team has got the ball,and in basketball the home team screams,yells,whatever when the guests shoots freethrows..

I sat right beside the horn. I couldn't have been closer unless I was the one with my hands on it. It WAS blown for TD's ect ect it WAS used at the same times that the fans would clap, cheer, or yell. It was not used in any unsportsman like way. And its about time we have some sort of noise maker!!!! Everyone shoots cannons or fireworks or blows horns. It was terrific and its about time we had something like that!!! It was the first night for the horn and Im sure it will be perfected although I saw no problem tonight Big Grin

SC did not score untill almost the end of the game. If the horn was blowing Im sure it was in celebration of the Pirates Wink

Belfry has always had a good reputation for its class and good sportsmanship. Theres a few bad apples at EVERY school but I can assure you this was not the case with the horn. Congrats SC on a great season! See you next year.

and YES the JC music was way overdone LOL Oh my gosh. It started out good. I mean we could cheer and get fired up with it just like JC did but it became very annoying. They hardly turned it off at all! Toooo much of a good thing. The music was played while the game was going on at times......

Ah, exciting game. Belfry played good, SC couldn't capitalize on a few opportunities, not totally surprised. I'm dissapointed we couldn't make more of a game out of it, but what can ya do. I'm glad everyone was pretty respectful for the most part and no fighting broke out or anything along those lines. The calls weren't bad, and with a score like 34 to 8 I don't care what kind of calls they are you cant completely blame the ref's in a situation like that. Belfry outsmarted and outplayed the Cards. Sucks for our seniors I hate to see them go out like that, but it's life. Good luck Belfry on your way to state.

And yeah, I was on the sidelines and Coach Hager was angry over a blocking in the back call.

Definately no dead zone there! I don't think we sat down all night!

Hager was an embarrassment to his team and fans and should have been thrown out of the game for that show of his. And if he wants to compare no calls......#2 for SC REPEATEDLY hit and punched after the whistle. Once, as he stood up, he grabbed a BHS player's helment and rammed it into the ground. One hand on the front, one on the back and slammed it down like he was breaking a rock. EVERYONE saw it, including the BHS sideline and players and the 3 refs there said nothing. I saw #2 do similar things 3 other times. He is a punk, pure and simple, and he is one reason SC will never succeed. Also heard a SC DB talking smack at the BHS sideline once. You don't see other schools do that stuff and succeed. And going back to something I said on another thread, I did not mean to imply the radio guys said it was a ploy for SC to open their field against BHS. They simply said BHS was the first opponent. IMO, SC set it up that way. Sorry it was taken the wrong way.

Like everyone has said, Belfry was just too strong for the cardinals. As for some of the SC fans, i'm glad to see that not everyone from there are complete idiots. haha. There are actually some who have class. haha Wink

Well, I personally was a bit disappointed. If I missed it, then I apologize, but I thought when Shawn was introduced, it should have been mentioned that he was a former Pirate and football player. I mean, he dedicated 4 years of his life to Belfry football and Coach Haywood. I went to school with Shawn and he was never cocky or unsportsmanlike. And he was only standing up for his team. Don't get me wrong, I, too am a Pirate fan and always will be, but I don't understand all this anger and negativity toward Shawn. I was disappointed when the fans began to boo him. I think you and I couldn't even imagine how hard it is for him to be in that position against the great Haywood. He deserved a bit more respect and support. Sorry, Shawn. Welcome home. :confused:

Coach Hager being a "former" pirate is exactly why I said god forbid that happen.... I don't think anyone in the pirate nation would have said or done anything negative towards him. At least, I didn't hear anyone....
