(RUMOR) Powell's Best Players Quit
#1
There is a rumor going around powell's David Crowe, David Hawkins and ryan Frailey quit saturday after the menifee county game. Also it is said Jeremy Mays and Donavon nolan are going to quit also:confused:
#2
why would they do that to the team like that???
#3
the coach has pushed them all to doin it.. the coach knos basketball but dosent kno how to teach it..
#4
The reason is that they dnt like the way the coach pulled them out of the game an didnt play them in the second half. Why wouldnt the coach play them idk but for what ever reason hes paying for it.
#5
Maybe the coach was trying to prove a point. Or maybe he was trying to get all his players a little time. This was just a scrimage wasn't it.
#6
I know most of those boyz. I don't like to see anyone quit.
#7
They are quiting because that is all they know. They can't take criticism and can't take losing and that is why they quit. This was a scrimmage, something coaches use to play around with thier line-ups and game plans before the season starts. This is just a perfect example of the poor attitudes this bunch has. This is why they haven't won very many games throughout their career. They stub up, put their heads between their legs and quit. Not the kind of players I would want on my team anyway.
#8
I don't think the coach would be the one really paying for it, that would be the team .
#9
Powell will be alot better in the years to come if coach does not let them come i would rather lose with kids that wants to play than have to baby losers.
#10
yea who cares if there gone... the team will be better off with out them... they still have good players like Reed great at the 3. Creech good P/G and Arvin great big man... and can shut the three's... they will be ok with out them...

Very well spoken. Powell has a great coach that can make something out of this team if you can get the cry babies from under their mommies' skirt tale long enough. I say give them their cry baby trophy and say goodbye.

Powell has one of the best coaches in the 14th.

It is my understanding that there are behind the scenes matters that had to be dealt with. I dont like to get on kids too much, but in a basketball program, the inmates cannot run the asylum. The coach must be able to control his team and if there a a few bad apples it will spoil the bunch.
#14
no matter what happened, if any starters quit it will hurt any program, especially a rebuilding one. and them being seniors, no senior leadership, but if they are talking about quitting i dont think there would have been much there.
#15
Every player can be replaced maybe not with as good of players but replaced none the less.
#16
The coach reflects everything and everyone, if the coach decided not to play the boys cause of some reason then that was his choice but the kids must not of been told the reason or i dont think they would just quit on the spot

These two kids were not leaders. They bullied the younger players and thought they were being leaders but were going about it the wrong way. A leader doesn't get mad at the other players every time they don't touch the ball, a leader does not bully other players, a leader doesn't get mad at the coach for taking him out of the game, and a leader does not quit. I will be the first to say that with the right attitudes these two could be good players and a great help to this team, but with the attitudes that they have, they just bring the program down a couple of levels.

Powell county has a great coach that knows the game and is good at what he does. He is bringing a new set of expectations and rules into Powell county. The team has to adjust. It is always hard on the juniors and seniors. However, they should be flexible and willing to work with the coach and the new system. If these players quit, the team will be better off. I would rather lose with players that will listen and try than win with players with bad attitudes and disrespct. This sets a bad examples for the underclassman.

It is far more complicated than that, you dont know what your talking about so leave the boys alone.

It is not a rumor, David Crowe, David Hawkins, and Ryan Fraley all have quit Powell County Basketball.

Why did Ryan Fraley quit? Where did he go? Rumor is that it all started because Crowe shoved/pushed? the band director's child and refused to apologize? Is that true?

This is not true in any shape or form. Crowe quit because him and coach Hall just didnt click.
