Is it a good idea for all of us members here on BlueGrassRivals to get to meet eachother? I bet some MOD's could book the Expo Center, and all the Administrators could speak and recognize some of the members. At the front door youd get a sticky name tag and write your BGR Name on it. Of course we'd have to make an RSVP thread and hopefully have some Cocktails.

I think your bein a LITTLE smart A.... LOL... Come on to the tailgate tonight though... I will personally make sure you get a little sticky note with your name on it... BUT, no cocktail... we are on school property....

How?! That's a good idea Ill go to a Belfry/Russell tailgate party, that tops my adgenda. lol I'd get shot. I didnt mean Cocktails by like Liquor and Martini's. Like LITTLE food snacks more of. LOL

Do you have any idea what it would cost to book the Expo Center? More than anyone on here would be willing to pay. I don't think anyone would have a problem with a "get together" but the Expo is way outta reach.

Well not the actual Expo Center main concourse. One of the rooms up top in the back. There about 34x74. A pretty good size. That shouldnt be that much should it?

You're welcome to come to Belfry tonight, we will be having a meet & greet in the tailgate area between the baseball & softball field. Since all the local teams are playing, it'll mostly be Belfry\Russell fans....but you're welcome to join us

Its actually pretty inexpensive and with how many people we have on here I would say a 5 to 10 dollar donation from each member that wanted to attend would pay for it. Also with the reservations of the expo center there comes food just to let everyone know. I have help put on many events up there through FCA, and other church organizations and we always have a fine time. I think this is a great idea IF...Then.

A get together sounds good, but we've tried this so many times in the past and it never works.
But, like in the past a get together at Jenny Wiley State Park's Dewey Dam would be a perfect spot for everyone to come and we could have a cookout and let the staff supply all the soda's, eats, plates, etc.
The park has fishing, basketball, volleyball, horse shoe, slides/swings/etc. for the kids, enough room to play some football, softball/baseball, etc.

Start getting us some prices for all of this stuff and maybe we could plan something out. It's not easy to find a date and time that everyone is available on as much as we would like to do so. None of the meetings that I know of have worked out in the past.

Just got off the phone with EKY Expo If...Then and Kim is sending me an e-mail with all the rates, catoring prices and such so once i get that I will post it as a file.

Yeah when Kim and I was talking she said 2/3 would hold between 80-100 people. I think we would be allowed to bring our own grub. Also to add to the 350 is a 100 dollar libaility charge so looking at 450 + tables if we choose, and sound system for speakers if we choose. However, I think we can bring our own sound system. If you all have any questions then just give them to me and I will forward them to Kim.
