Last drive of overtime- why would you keep running the ball when it's doing nothing for you?

I realize you're already in field goal range, but it's a long field goal, so grow a pair and throw the ball, and if nothing's open, have Fitz tuck the ball and run.

I agree. This is why they only have 1 win. QUIT RUNNIN THE **** BALL. They have the best receiver in the league in ocho cinco and they never throw him the ball. They need to spread it out and throw the ball instead of running up the middle all game. They dont have anything 2 lose so why air it out a little bit and sit the running backs on the bench. Put 5 receivers n there and make chad the 1st option every play. if he's triple covered then look 4 tj and then 2 henry. Coats and uttecht should never get the ball thrown 2 them. Or chatman and holt.

I disagree because I think you need a run game to keep the defense honest, but I just meant at the end of the game on the last drive: why run it then?

They don't have to run the ball. I know it is different but look at texas tech. Tell them that they need 2 run more. The bengals could have that type of offense and excel in the NFL. They need 2 run about 10-15 times a game and thats it. And its sad when the running backs always seem 2 get more receptions than the receivers. They don't need the ball thrown 2 them.

You really need to learn something if you think you can run the ball that few of times and consistantly win games.

If teams don't have to respect the run, they can sit in the passing lanes and not stay in the box.

Not to mention the fact that if you face a good pass rush and have no run game, you're pretty much out-of-luck, see the Patriots verse the Giants in the Super Bowl last year.

Texas Tech also has a dual threat QB which Cincy does not have. You dont have to respect Cincy's QB because honestly he can't run worth crap, heck oh J LO' for UK moved better then this guy. Also with the type of offense that Texas Tech runs the O Line is UNREAL, if you watched the game yesterday you would have noticed that Cincy has arguably the worst line in the league, they allowed I know of at least 8 sacks that I counted. Which comes down to your QB has no time in the pocket and he is not mobile. Also you made the argument that "Ocho Cinco" is the best wide reciever in the league. From what he has shown this season he is not even the best on his team. Just an FYI TJ leads the league in receptions. I know alot of that has to do with not spreading the ball around enough. However, Ocho Cinco is not who he was a few years back. He does not want to play for Cincy, he does not want to be apart of the team so honestly he is not giving you what all he has to offer which is PATHETIC. WIth all that said they have no other option then to run it and pass it equally. Just face it untill Cincy gets rid of the GM and some of its players. They will continue to be a below .500 team year in and year out.

Chad isn't the player he was a few years back because he stopped gettin the ball thrown to him. He can run down the field wide open and not get looked at. I would want traded if i was him. Go 2 a team with a qb that will get him the ball. TJ is only doin good bc he gets the ball 3 times as much as chad. And i care if the line does suck you have to know to get rid of the ball. I played qb and my line was terrible but i only got sacked once all year bc i got rid of the ball. Throw it up 4 chad 2 catch if your in trouble. They run the ball for 17 yards a game and u honestly think they should run the ball as much as they pass.If u watch the games they will throw it 4 or 5 straight plays and gain 50-60 yards and get 2 the red zone. Then they run the ball up the middle 3 plays and kick a field goal. Its stupid. If i was their offensive coordinator they would be winning the division this year. Bratowski has 2 go.

First tie since the Steelers and Falcons done it in 02. Funny thing though, the Eagles still haven't beaten the Bengals in Cincy.
