So who stood out for the Lions?

In the 2nd half, Powell was up by 13 until Hawkins got hurt. Then they only won by 4 or something.

i heard number 3 i think for the lions was a tremendous help and hustled the whole game... but the transfer from hazard to cordia didnt do much and put up some crazy shots... but from wat it sounds like the cordia lions could surprise some teams come season time..

Cordia DID put up a good fight throughout the scrimmage. Considering how outmatched they were, they were impressive. It didn't seem like they had a lot of coaching, but they played hard and were determined. If they start running some plays, they'll be decent this year.
Powell was clearly the more skilled team and seemed to have solid coaching. They are very big for a school their size, which was great for rebounding and post play. However, it did cause a problem with getting the ball up the court. Hawkins was doing well with that, until he hurt his ankle. Reed stepped up, but needed help occasionally as Cordia ran the press.
Arvin played pretty impressively. Much improved over last year, just needs to get a little softer touch on his shot.
When Rice and Crowe come back after football, Powell will have some much needed depth.

They have almost 800 enrollment, third largest in the region after Perry Central and Letcher Central.

I wasn't really comparing them to the other schools in the 14th, but rather the state as a whole. It would be no surprise to see schools like PRP, North Hardin, or even Madison Central to have large lineups. But for Powell Co. to realistically have four players 6'4" or larger on the court at the same time, that's not common.
Now, most times that lineup won't be out there. Like I said, when that happened in the scrimmage, they had a tougher time getting the ball up the court. But, if used occasionally, Powell can cause some serious matchup problems for other schools due to their height and bulk.

Lee County has three starters 6'4" and up. (Pelfrey 6'6" (could well be a surprise this year) Pittman 6'5" and Charles 6'4". The two other starters are 6'3" Campbell and 6'2" Wise. 4 of the 5 starters also bench press 300+ lbs.

The Bobcats already had a good returning nucleus before he transferrred. He should only add to their ability to be one of the top teams in the region. And Charles is definitely one of the region's best. Pelfrey has experience but needs to play with more intensity. Campbell will be solid. Wise is going to have to handle a lot of pressure at the PG but I think he can do it.
ARC, can you give us some insight on the talent level/skills of Pittman?

Benching 300 lbs is quite an accomplishment if this is true.

It is definitely true. Wise, Charles, Cambpell and Pelfrey maxed-out on last day of conditioning with 300+ lbs bench press using free weights.
