Letcher Central Softball Field
#1
Any word on a new field for softball field?
#2
Why cant they use the new baseball field it would be stupid to build a new one what you think.
#3
Because the dimensions are TOTALLY different in softball..LOL..Simple
#4
lol......softball on a baseball field.....haha.......But on the serious side sure would like to see the lady cougars get a nice place to play......
#5
I would too. I think that has discouraged a lot of ladies from coming out for softball. I hope that board will soon decide to get all the fields complete so we can get this started.
#6
if you love the game it doesn't matter where you play.
#7
It dont matter what kind of field they play on there still going to get beat by Jenkins

Why don't you just convert the baseball field to a softball field and let them both play on it. It doesn't matter where you play if you love the game.

That would have been acceptable except for scheduling nightmares. Playing in a cow pasture is better than the alternative.

That wasn't what the thread was about. You don't have to spend a million dollars to have a nice softball field. I just heard a rumor that they was going to start on it, and wanted to know if anyone had heard. Yes they did spend a lot of money on a football field, but so is hazard, and sheldon clark. This was just to find out if the other sports was going to get a field.

Because The Girls Deserve Their Own Field Too!
#23
I don't think anything is wrong with the Letcher County Central's field except it's a sand pit. If they would get someone in there working on the one they have it would be a decent field. Get rid of the tready-like sand stuff, and get some lights and they'd be set.

Sorry, but the reason Letcher doesn't have a softball field is the administration simply doesn't care about the softball program. Do you know how simple it would be? Clear a space plant some, good grass in the oufield and throw down some clay and brick dust, put up some fence, then put up two 50 ft. dugouts, and BOOM! You gotta a softball field. Just throw in some aluminium bleachers and your set. A press box/concession stand isn't even really needed immediatley let them take their time on that suff.

Oh, please!
Those girls wont be getting a field that looks as good as their boys' football and baseball feild. That school could probably careless about there girls' programs.

but...
if they don't have a field built with in two years from the very day the boys' field opened. they boys will not be allowed to play on there new field until the new softball field is completely finished....

Time is tickin'....
