How far can the Hazard Bulldogs go?
#1
Coming off there disapointment season where they was picked really high in the state, the bulldogs have a average record of 7-3. Can this team pick it up in time for the playoffs?
#2
yeah i believe they can. its up to them and how big their heart is and how bad those guys want it.
#3
I agree...regular season means nothing. Playoffs are where the real season begins....

If it meant nothing they wouldnt bother to play it. Regardless, I think Hazard can win their Region but thats as far as I can see them going. A good running team like LCA, which we have already seen, and Raceland will give them fits.

I was suprised at the LCA game's score. But as last year goes to show, the regular season doesn't mean a whole lot. Hazard won by 20 or so last year in the regular season only to turn around and get bet by about the same in the playoffs. Could there be a bossible flip flop? This time in Hazards favor? who knows...Best of luck to the Bulldogs
#6
I can't see any possible way Hazard makes a deep run. LCA really exposed several weaknesses.....too many to correct this late in the season.
#7
The regular season is just practice games for the playoffs if ya ask me. And to be honest with you, I dont think the Bulldogs will make it past region. They just dont seem like they want it.
#8
I have yet to see Hazard play. Is there anyone that can keep them out of a regional championship game? If so...who?
#9
I would love to see the Dawgs win it all, I just dont think they got it in them. I see them getting beating by the Rams of Raceland. Go Dawgs prove me wrong!
#10
Nobody in district 7 or 8 can play with Hazard. Its very odd to say because Pikeville has owned Hazard but Pikeville is down this year and people who have seen Hazard play and seen Pikeville play that arent fans of either school will tell you that Hazard is the much better team.
#11
Hazard is much better than Pikeville, but Pikeville is still a dangerous team if they were to play. Playoff is a crazy time of the year. But Hazard will be the favorite until round four.
#12
I do believe that Hazard has homefield advantage throughout the play-offs until the State Championship. I see them playing Lexington Christian in the State Semi-Finals, but don't see them playing past that game, however, I wish Mark all the best and hopes he gets things turned around before it's to late....

If they were to meet Pikeville in round 3 they would have to travel then. But would be back home in round four.

If Allen Central or Harlan happen to upset Pikeville then Hazard would have four straight home games and Hazard is very good at home. Last home loss was to Danville on September 22, 2006.

I Would Like To Adress 3dcatfan On Hazard Message Board Attacking Hazard Coaching Staff. Hazard Is 20-4 In Last 2 Seasons And Counting. Hazard Has A Good Coaching Staff. They Played In State Semi Finals Last Year For First Time In Years Maybe Ever And They Are Trying Their Best To Get Back Again. If 3dcatfan Is Such An Expert On Football Come By The Coaching Office And See If You Can Help Hazard Out. The Good Ole Boys Would Like To Hear A Expert Talk About What Needs To Be Done Give Hazard A Great Game Plan. Otherwise Shut Up About Hazards Staff. They Work Very Hard. And For Play Calling I Think All Plays Are Designed To Work. Hazard Fans Need To Get Behind These Kids And Support Them. They Are Great Kids And They Are Trying To Win.

The first thing they need to do. Is stop paded Tyler stats. Inside the 10 yards line. They only let tyler run the ball. I know 2 games they didn't try to won. The first time they play each other Hazard won. The last 2 times Hazard lay down. I guess it was the Hazard of old coming out. Laying down when they want to season to be over. The 2 years i play at Hazard. In the playsoffs. I knew when we are going to get beat. They talk about it all week. This is going to be the last game of the season. Is it still that way.

I think Hazard will go to the State Championship this season. Yeah they have been playing bad but look, Campbell missed 4 games. Kidd missed half the season. The Miller kid from Leslie County is just getting into the swing of things. They will gel at the right time. If they play LCA at Hazard, they will beat LCA. It will be a very cold night 4 weeks from now. Is it true that the Showstoppa Eric Back will be eligible this Friday night against Betsy Layne. If he plays, you might as well put 21 points on the scoreboard for the Dawgs. Good luck Hazard, hope you guys win it this year.

Hazard Will Go 3rd Round And Get Beat

LCA has to go through Raceland first

LCA will have to beat a good lynn camp team and a good williamsburg team to get a match up at Raceland.

Lca goes threw Lynn Camp like A leaf blower blowing grass off of the sidewalk. Then they play the J.V. the second half of the Williamsburg game. Then they play Raceland and beat them by 3 tds. Holding them to 100 yards rushing and 60 yards passing. Then 55-0 beating Hazard. In the end beating Beechwood by 10. Pay back for last year.

WOW!!!!!!! Got it planned out. I can not wait for either match up whether its Hazard vs Raceland, or Hazard vs LCA or Hazard vs Williamsburg. They all will be slobber knockers and will be worth the price of admission.
#25
If Hazard play anything like they did again LCA. They will get beat the 2round.
#26
Hazard can beat Pikeville but Pikeville will be a dangerous game for them.
I see Hazard making it to Raceland and getting ready for B-BALL.

cj2561 Wrote:If Hazard play anything like they did again LCA. They will get beat the 2round.

I disagree, L.C.A. matches up with Hazard's speed. Noone until the region matches up with Hazard really not even Pikeville. If you don't have alot of team speed you will not be able to defend Hazard. Raceland and L.C.A. are the only bad matchups for Hazard.
#28
The key for Hazad is the fact that they will be at home as long as they keep winning. That is a huge advantage. I look for Hazard to have a pretty good run in the playoffs. I think we'll see a Hazard VS Raceland or LCA (just like most people) in the Semi-Fianls. Again, this game will be at home which means a lot.
#29
Plus, I don't think Hazard has had that bad of a season. They finished 7-3 losing to 3 pretty good teams. Another thing is they have played a lot of this season without some key players. They seem to be entering the playoffs with more of their team than they have played with for the season. Watch out, Hazard could be dangerous in the playoffs.

I agree. Its kind of hard to knock a team who hasnt been healthy all season. I think just because Hazard isnt undefeated or lost just 1 game no one thinks they can compete. As you said Hazard has a big advantage having home field advantage. Hazard plays well at home and the last home loss was to Danville on Setember 22, 2006. Thats a pretty long time since they have been beat at home. I believe Hazard gets the O rolling and the defense going and marches right on to Louisville.
