That's if you consider them newcomers. They played high school ball already but have been out a year due to them being hold backs.
#3
Yea you WOULD consider them as newcomers!
#4
9th Graders Lindsey Isner & Macayla Potter at Pikeville
#5
the potter girl from pikeville
#6
Mia Coleman and Reagan Clark @ Pike Central.
#7
Where did Coleman and Clark come from?
#8
Clark is from Mullins and Coleman is a sophmore at Central, she came from mullins too.
#9
Perry got a big transfer in Miranda Napier. True she is from buckhorn but avg a lot of points including the 28 she dropped on PCC with sturdivant guarding her last season.
#10
The Mullins girl from Dorton seemed pretty impressing last year.
She is a good all around player.

Also, Potter from Pikeville and Isner.

Fraley from Elkhorn is going to be one to watch out for this year also.

T.J Tackett is an 8th grader at John m Stumbo. She played with Betsy Layne's high school girls this summer and will be an asset to the team this year. She really does well when playing with older and tougher competition.

Except for when Stumbo plays Allen Central Middle!

Allen Central Middle does have a really good team and lots of talent. TJ played very well with the talented girls that play at Betsy Layne. She plays more mature and to her potential.
#14
Freshman Miranda Napier at Perry will be tough along with Back (8th grade) and Rankin (7th).
#15
Paige Slone from Cordia (8th Grader) averaged over 16 points a game last year at the varsity level

Seen her play Grade school basketball, she's a great player with a nice touch and good court vision.
I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok -Shaquille O'Neal

I hear this weekend during the tournament at the sportsplex that she would be at Knott or AB Combs and go to Perry after her grade school tournament is over.

Napier on the recruiting road again

TJ Tackett is a very talented player and will be a great asset to the BL team. She plays on a grade school team as the only 8th grader and the rest are 6th graders. The are the number 2 seed to AC as the #1 seed in the county tournament, AC has 3 8th grade starters and some very talented 7th graders. If you look at the load TJ has to carry for her team, and then look at her competition - several talented players from AC, you would realize the potential this kid has.

You cant blame Paige Slone for wanting to go to Perry. I heard that Knott Centrals Coach was only going to put Paige on the Freshman Team. You cant be serious Coach Amburgy.......... Paige will be one of the top guards in the Region this year, especailly at Perry where Randy lets his horses run pretty openly. Slone, Back, Melton, and Kilburn will be hard to press. Thats 4 good point guards that can shoot the rock.

The 14th region is the weakest it has been in 20 years. If you have a couple of good players, you can win the whole thing. Will be hard to stop the 7 or 8 holdbacks that Letcher Central will add this year, they are some good girls that can play and have some size too! Perry with all their guards will be okay, but without and inside presence they will struggle, unless they just press people for 32 minutes. Will be interesting to see how these 2 teams come out this year! Other than those 2 i don't see anyone competing with them.

You honestly cant say that your counting Breathitt County out. They will be a contender in and out for the next four years. Kendall just has alot of talent.
