What was soooo bad about what I am saying. Each game is different. Yeah, we should have blown them off the field. Are you telling me that when Breathitt has played teams that they are "waaaay" better than, that they have beaten each one really bad? I doubt it. Breathitt has played some teams in the past that they should have killed but have squeaked out a win. It happens! You can't beat everyone by 30. Our boys showed some true grit when they needed to most. I am very proud of them. They could have layed down in the 2nd half when they were down by 13 but they didn't! Good job guys!

well, berea was a win it does not matter how much and fleming was to. so, we are going to the playoffs and we did have a winning season. if's and because do not count and next year is a whole new story. so, deal with the present and keep your personal remarks to yourself. this is a thread about powell and berea and is not the place to downgrade powell county's football program.

You are correct with the schedules. Both were beaten badly by Estill Co. But you have to respect the fact that this is the first winning season no matter if Powell did not beat anyone with one or two wins other than Berea.

Breathitt plays good enough defense that losing Fugate would probably knock them out of a title run, but they would still win the region.

I highly dont agree he is the best in the state. Estill held him to what, like 79 yds? If he was the best in the state he would have did a little more then that. Fugate is also your best defensive player. Lose him on both sides of the ball and you guys are nothing. I agree Rose is our best defensive player but i dont agree to him being the best offensive player. Rice to Crowe/Barron combo scores Powell most of their points. Powell won get over it!

Congrats to Powell on its first winning season and making the playoffs. Whitaker definitely has the program heading in the right direction. The success they have had will only add to the interest of kids to be a part of it. That, in itself, is how you build and maintain a program. Good Luck in the playoffs.
