Kentucky prep talk about 5A

beasy_bo Wrote:just to add a little something the coaching is not even close central Ky school have a ton of better coaching too include our high spoken MATNEY! He gets out coached every big game he's ever coached in. He does not know how to spread the offense. Thats why he hasn't got or will never have a state championship ring and i played for this guy for 4 years.

Uhhh, what does central Kentucky coaching have to do with anything? Highlands or Bowling Green are neither one in central Kentucky. Highlands is in northern Kentucky and Bowling Green is in western Kentucky.

I agree. I don't think Bowling Green or anybody else beats Highlands this year.

BREATHITT COUNTY: Has a running back with good stats, but one of the best in the State? Over Cissell, Finch, Green, the Owensboro duo, John Hardin's Camper and Savoy? Please. Get out of EKY and see some real talent.

ST. THOMAS MORE, ONTARIO, CANADA: When a team from Canada is bragging that one of its top wins is Cleveland Heights, well, that's all that needs to be said. Cleveland Heights is far from an Ohio power unlike St. Ignatius, Cincy X, Colerain (who Highlands played) or even the small Catholic team that North Hardin Christian-Ky was able to get on their schedule. BTW, how many D-I players does a nearly unheard of private school from another country have, anyway?

BRYAN STATION: They might give any team fits, but you yourself said Woodford was down ... and Woodford goes on to beat Bryan Station.

SHELBY COUNTY: Got its only win of the season last week, only because South Oldham, the team it beat, is 0-9.

WOODFORD COUNTY: Jackets' defense gives up 34 or more points more than half the time they take the field.

PAINTSVILLE: Tiny (Class 1-A) school has also been slammed by "powers" Prestonsburg and Raceland.

HAZARD: Second of back-to-back games against 1-A schools, which must be challenging for a supposedly great 5-A school. Green County, another 1-A school, ran wild over Hazard.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY (3-6): The teams they beat are a combined 5-23.

ASHLAND BLAZER (6-4): History, shmistory. Glasgow and Paducah Tilghman and Fort Knox (which produced Cleveland Browns coach Romeo Crennell and all-time rushing leader Derek Homer, who played at UK and in the NFL) have great history too and all three are having seasons they want to forget. Collegiately, Michigan and Tennessee have history, while Michigan won't be going to a bowl for the first time in more than 3 decades and Tennessee's coach just got the boot. History don't mean squat unless you back it up.

THIS WEEK'S OPPONENT: BELFRY (9-0): Finally, someone worth a darn. Of course, if you can't run all over this 3-A school and shut them down with that defense that you said was better than we're giving them credit for, you won't do much against Highlands.

Simple. If you agree with the poster's assessment, you say: great post. If you disagree, you say: stupid post. LOL!
