Top Goalies in the Region
#1
Id have to say Garret Browns good.
Nick Conn is really good to now have a A- defense. Of those too> Nick Conn Top goalie for sure.
#2
Nick Conn Is A Great Goalie; I Think Against Pikeville He Saved Over 40 Shots And They Made 2 :d
#3
Andy Adkins from Paintsville is the best.
#4
Pikeville's goalie has the potential to be the best but just doesnt have enough experince yet. He's only been playin goalie for about a month though.
#5
PCC's first year keeper Alex Sizemore has great potential. He is athletic, agile, has good instincts, and is a good shot blocker. Has a few things to work on but definately has the potential to be the best in this region.
#6
What about Sheldon Thomas from Corbin. He is very talented.
#7
I believe that Jody Grigsby is the most talented goalie in the region...he just didnt have any defense to help him out...he didnt allow pcc any goals in the first half of the district tournament
#8
Sheldon Thomas from Corbin...hands down! No one is better.
#9
I agree Sheldon is Great!!
#10
jody grigsby averaged about 20 saves a game.....he made some unbelieveable plays all season long

yea hes pretty good pcc couldn't do nothing in the first half
#12
Alex Sizemore from PCC is a good goalie for his 1st year if he would have not missed so many games at the start he would have been ranked in state!
#13
Grigsby had formerly played in the recreational league for some years, and personally i think he did outstanding to not have played for so long. Great job.
#14
Jody is good but they took outside shots and thats no problem for him if they would have taken it in, then a GOAL!
#15
But Jody still is a good goalie. I have known him for a while!
#16
Grigsby probably had 20 saves a game because Hazard didn't have much defense to talk about. But taking nothing from him, he is a very talented player. It sucks that he didn't get introduced to high school soccer earlier, who knows how good he would be.
#17
yeah...if we had soccer in hazard a few years ago i know jody, steven, and a few others that played in the rec league could have a better chance at getting noticed

True.

He made unbelievable saves this season tho...jacob watts and J.R. lundsford took some amazing shots on him, which at first i thought were goals, and he would be fully extended and make a diving stop like it was nothing...i think he has enough talent to take it to the next level

I completely agree with you there. He is extremely talented and would be so much better if he had next level coaching.
#21
yeah...after our game against shelby valley kevin campbell told him that he would help jody out and talk to a few colleges for him...he has a chance to go to cumberland on a double scholarship for baseball and soccer
#22
Grigsby is good but not great. Any decent goalie could have that many saves when there are that many shots on them every game.

im pretty sure he saved some great upper 90 shots by jacob and jr. so im pretty sure hes great... better than ne keeper pcc has ever had

WOAHHHH....Slow down there. He is good, but has a LONG way to go before he would catch Justin "Tino" Stacy. He was the goalie the 2 years Perry went 16-2 and 18-2. And he was ranked in state for goals per game and shutouts both. So know your stuff before you start saying who is so good.

Grigsby was not better than Stacy. Grigsby was not ranked in any stat reports in state this year. Bad post.

Ill have to agree Jody Grigsby is one of the most talented goalies in the region but to say he didnt have any defence to help him out would have to be a lie Hazard had a very explosive defense from what i observed this past year their problem was offence they had trouble possesing the ball and the only person that could consistently score was Steven Frasure.
#27
Though they had a loosing record.I watched teams all over the state play.I thought the Osborn kid from Valley had some good stops and saves.Valley just didn't have an deep team.

yeah but besides conor duff, josh eversole, and baylen campbell they really didnt have any other help for jody...many of the players were unexperienced...but they did a great job at defending
