What team do you think has the best chance of upsetting someone in the playoff? It doesn't matter which class and tell which team it is and which team that upset. I have one or two suggestions i just want to hear someone elses.

I think I may know one of your suggestions but I would not like to jinx my team. *cough* Johnson Central *cough* if they were to make it to the Regional Finals against Fort Thomas Highlands. That will be the game of the state that night. *knock on wood*

3A Estill Co beats Breathitt and will play Belfery
10-26-2008, 12:31 AM
I think Allen Central will also upset
10-26-2008, 12:34 AM
Hold on now, I like the enthusiasm, but that game won't take place (if it were to happen) until game 3 of the playoffs. Estill better take care of business next week first and then close out the last two reg. season gameswith a head of steam going into the playoffs.
10-26-2008, 12:52 AM
Dont worry they will there on a misson and they want Breathitt.
10-26-2008, 12:59 AM
Estill Co over Breathitt in the reg. and Allen Central over Pikeville in the 2nd round.
10-26-2008, 01:00 AM
In honest opinion i like Allen Central over pikeville in the 2nd round.

I dont think that Estill will get to play Breathitt. Im afraid that they will get beaten out before they get to play us.

1)Hazard
4)Betsy Layne
2)Paintsville
3)Pineville
2)Harlan
3)Allen Central
1)Pikeville
4)Jenkins

Good chance of the 3 seed from the 6th beating the 2 seed from the 5th. I think that all games are wide open in the 5th Vs. 6th 3A playoff bracket with the exception of the 1-4 games.

If Pikeville and Allen Central both win they would play each other in the second round. Basically, AC would have to "upset" Harlan to get back to Pikeville, but it could happen.

What kind of team does Harlan have this year...havent heard much about them?

I believe Allen Central is a better team than harlan so i don't consider it an upset.

Not very good, only has 2 wins over a struggling Jenkins team and not so good Pineville team. I look for Allen Central to beat them rarely easily in the 1st round. I agree with BAC, I wouldnt consider that an upset. AC is a much better team than Harlan Ind.

I think Bryan Station might give Highlands a run for their money in the first round. Station is BIG, fast and strong...could be a good match up.

Only way those would be considered upsets is if Rowan defeats Rockcastle or Boyd defeats Knox Central.
Rockcastle & Knox Central should cruise through those games.

AC should have no problem beating Harlan. Harlan really isn't that strong.

I think this will happen too but Knox will have a hard time going to Boyd and winning.

Is Bryan Station a 4 seed.

I agree. That is why I put upset in quotes. Some people may look at it as an upset because it would be a 2 beating a 3.

I think Powell will upset the number one seed from the 5th district. That district seems like its down this year alot.

More than likely....
Station might be able to move the ball on Highlands but the Birds may hang 70 on them.

Powell over Wayne
