Belfry @ Sheldon Clark (Part II)

Let's stick on topic and try to all get along and write properly. Also remember Belfry fan Frank O'Brien, who was also a great supporter of Jim Matney [BV][BV][/BV][/BV]while he was at Sheldon Clark and now at JCHS. He passed away this morning. Many area sports fans would recognize him if you saw him. He was real thin with white hair and went to all the big sports events in the area.

Its hard to say. I say that SC wants to prove the people that that lose to Bell is in the past and they want to turn some heads. I dont see these two teams scorin many points cause of the weather this friday. I do however think that whoever can play the "cleaner" game will come out ontop. Ill take SC at home by 3.

Best wishes goes out to the O'Brien family, he was a great fan of East Kentucky athletics.
To the game, I'm no coach or player, but I've seen enough football to give an accurate judge and Belfry is simply better.
Rather that turns out on the field or not we shall see soon enough.

Belfry 35-7.. as bad as SC wants to erase people's memories of the Bell County game the fact remains Belfry is a more talented and deeper team, and I have a feeling the Pirates are going to come out with a fire in their belly.

As for Frank O'Brien this is very sad news. Frank is as big of a supporter of Belfry Athletics as you will find. He attends nearly every football, basketball (girls and boys), and volleyball game possible. The Pirate family has lost a pair of amazing fans over the past couple years between Mr. O'Brien. and Steve Phillips

I think this will be a very close game.
SC has a great defense and a pretty good offense.
Belfry has an alrite defense but their offense isnt all its cracked up to be.

I'm hoping the Cardinals can pull this one out, but I don't know. Regardless, I hope there are no injuries or fights, and I hope both teams have a good game. I just want the Cards to have a better one...lol! GO CARDINALS!!! :rockon:

Will the weather play a factor. From watching SC a few times, they are efficient when they can mix it up on offense. Can SC's QB throw with the rain pouring, not to mention with Belfry's pressure coming at him?

With Belfry, the rain isn't much of a problem. Just run, baby, run.

What's your thoughts? I bet GoDad will go crazy over this.

Dangerous...so Dangerous..."Get your ringback tones..."...Hopefully the game will be an exciting one and people will listen tonight. Rain may be moving in. It may be worth the price of admission to see if Joe Kinzer gets run out of the press box like he did two years ago. Hopefully he won't slip on the wet bleachers and bust his glasses.

Nah, the weather affects both teams...turf takes a lot of that out of the equation.

I agree. That's why you are the guru, Fox. I can see the football being hard to hold on to. Field position could be key, because a cheap score, or a short field off a turnover, could be an advantage for one team or the other.

well it is raining now so rain will be a factor. I hope the boys play hard and clean football. Hopefully no personal foul calls against either team because emotions will be HIGH tonight.
