I dont see powells defense stopping our offense. Channing will be getting very good coaching from two all state caliber QB's in Justin Haddix and Kyle Moore on how to throw the ball. I see Channing suprising a few people with his arm. But his bread and butter will still be his running. Breathitts line has finially came together and have been working as a unit and are really knocking people off the ball. The defense has be awesome, holding Hayden was no small task aginst LCA this past week but they did just that. Powell is good but no where near the caliber that Breathitt is. Sorry Powell.

you all are ganna get over confident an over look powell, we have a verry good running back in jessie rose an a great qb in Bill Rice who has the arm to make throws in college and a wr in David Crowe an Jared Barren who can catch anything you throw at them. Im not saying powells going to win but its going to be a LOT CLOSER than everyone thinks...........

powell county will definately keep this game close. they should not be overlooked. they have improved greatly and are a bunch of football players that play with skill and heart. a 110%.

If we can stop Fugate and #34, then we can win this game. Our pass D has gotten alot better. We just need to buckle down and bring the workhorse down. Go Pirates!!!!

Channing is the workhorse, I give you that. But trying to stop both of them is acking alot. Channing has been throwning the ball ALOT in practice and is looking pretty darn good. I look for him to toss the ball around alot more than people expect him to.

Well when you have the attitude that Powell has, anything is possible. They never give up and they always keep fighting. Never count out the Pirates.

Yeah it is asking alot. But I know Powell will be ready. And Powell's pass D is alot better than games before. All I'm saying is that this will be a closer game than most people think.

I am not underestimating Powell. I know they have some good players and work hard and for the most are really good kids. But to pull an upset like this would be unheard of.

I don't see it for the main reason, competition levels do not match. Don't look for Breathitt to throw the ball much with Haddix out. Channing Fugate rushed for 403 yds at QB last week against LCA who is picked to go to the state by most people in 1A. Powell has not played anyone yet that is close to LCA other than Estill. Before you start I am not being negative, just stating facts. I would like to see the kids get a great upset, always pull for the underdog!

It really dont matter who you have played it matters how the teams match up, im not saying powells played hard teams its that all the teams we have lost to has had a passing attack that was hard to stop with breathitt not having a passing game powell only has one thing to worry about an thats the run.

no one is saying that Powell doesn't have the right attitude, its good that they're going into the game with their heads high, anything is possible, you are correct. BUT I'm sorry, this is Breathitt County... even if their starting QB is out, he was out last week for most of the game and Fugate was still amazing, I just don't see it happening this year...sorry.

Yes, Estill has a tremendous passing attack and so does Harlan Co. We just haven't seen it yet. What kind of statement is that? :confused: I forgot to mention Bath Co's high powered passing offense as well. The teams who have beat you have RUN the ball, that was their style. Yes, the run was stopped against Jackson, Lewis, Fleming and Betsy Layne, but the other 3 do not dwell on the passing game.

It is great to have team support, but sometimes it is better to think with your head and not your heart.
