After watching Big Blue Madness, and seeing the players and how they were enjoying everything, I was pumped for basketball! Now that Orton is believed to committ this afternoon, it just keeps getting better!
Can you imagine...Pilgrim, Patterson (should he stay), Harrellson, Orton, and Hood? Man 'o man! Go get 'em Billy!!!!!!

Daniel verballed to Billy over the weekend but with all the Daniel Orton chants at BBM how could he not, many could see it coming if they followed recruiting closely though.

WOW!!! Dreams do come true, Looks like Uk basketball is back to the glory days again. It's about time and I'm wondering if they are any doubters on what BCG now?? BCG is the best thing to happen to this Uk program since I can remember. Go get em coach!!!

He has been recruiting pretty well. I'll wait and see how he coaches what he has before I crown him best ever though.

I have followed Daniel's recruitment since he was a sophomore, I especially became high of him when I found out he was interested and have tracked him ever since. Last season this occurred and this video sure helps get you in the mood for Orton, gives me goosebumps to lol. Man I can't wait until he joins the crew on the hardwood.

This is a huge pick up but one would have guessed he was going to, at BBM he knew he had the fans support if he commited and honestly i think that really opened his eyes to what kind of program we have here. WIth this commitment you can guess that Patterson will stay for at least his JR year. Plus momma Patterson is pushing him to get his degree. As we know parents know best.

Laugh out loud, some guy on Catspause come up with the theme song for our new group. O.P.P. - Naughty By Nature. It was rather clever in my eyes. What a **** of a front court were gonna have with these guys and throw in Stevenson and Harrelson to.

this would be a huge pick-up for the cats. monumental for the next season. if Patterson stays then it would free him up for a lot more offensive opportunities. which would then compliment the play of Orton. they could be an outstanding tandem by 2010!

This is not a big surprise, I think most people felt that UK was the leader for his services. Congrats to Billy G for landing another top recruit.
As others have said, combining him with Patterson would make a heck of a frontcourt, but I don't see PP staying beyond this year. Still, I think Pilgrim will step into PP's shoes fairly nicely, and will still be a formidable tandem with Orton.

I was at big blue madness and they chanted his name a good 5 or 6 times, then that last time he stood up Rupp went crazy! Another great pickup for Gillispie.

it just goes to show that coach Gillispie and his staff know how to recruit. Getting Orton away from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kansas is great and if Patterson does stay for one more year then the front line of Orton, Patterson and Pilgrim could be the best in the country. Looks UK is back on the national scene thanks to Gillispie.:flame: :flame:

Patterson was a big part of Orton's recruitment. Orton said he called him once, and sometimes twice every week. I think Patterson really wants to be at UK 1 or maybe even 2 years with Orton.
