Lane Kiffin of the Oakland Raiders becomes the seccond head coach of the NFL to get fired this week.

Oakland is a joke. No one will ever succeed as long as Al Davis there running the show. Word is that all of the players liked Kiffin, and he seemed to be a likable guy and knew the game of football. But Davis gives his coaches no freedom to do anything. Why even have a coach if he can't do exactly that...COACH! It doesn't matter who they hire, it will be the same 'o same 'o as long as Davis is in charge!

VERY BAD MOVE..I myself am a Kiffin fan! Oakland is a very solid football team. When they learn how to play 4 quarters instead of 3, they will give that division a run! I hope the day NEVER comes though just because of Al Davis!

I am a HUGE Oakland fan and liked Kiffin at the helm. However, some of the things that came out in the press conference today makes it seem like it may have been a good move for both parties to part ways. Davis said that Kiffin was over all moves during the game including changing the defense when they were up in the 4th quater and making all the conservative play calls on offense also. It's a mess, but I hope we can "just win baby." I'm tired of being the laughing stock of the NFL, but right now the Bengals hold that....hahaha, just kidding guys. Smile

I thought Oakland has done good this year so far. They have been beaten by some pretty good teams. Russell is finally starting to be a consistent QB.

Davis made himself look bad and he was the one who sounded like the liar in the situation. I mean one breath he said he gave Kiffin the letter and then said he sent it fed-ex right after that........He looks like he needs to be in a nursing home and not making decisions for a football team.

You know, he just may have made a copy of the letter. It's important that you document or have copies of everything you do when you own/run an organization of any magnitude.
