I am sorry but I will have to disagree with one statement that Fball made. I think that Jones and Foster are very missed this year.

Jeepman is right. They are not in sync yet. They have a new QB and that has been the major adjustment. Cordle throws a very good ball. Probably throws a little bit better than what Tyler Jones did last year. Where the problem is that I can see is he is having trouble seeing recievers and when to throw. Cordle is not as big and strong as Jones. He is having trouble getting passes off under pressure. Jones would stand in there and could throw with a couple of guys hanging on him because of his size and strenth. Jones would also take off and run with it if everyone was covered. This is something that Cordle needs to do instead of holding on to the ball to long. If the reciever is not open just take off.
I'm not knocking A.J.. I think has done just fine. But it is an adjustment that takes time to work out. Cordle is a better passer in space. Some quicker routes and some formations that take some of the pressure off of him would help him.
This is a very talented Russell team. Just as talented as last year if not more. They do miss Jones and Fosters toughness from last year. Right now they need a mean streak. Not just one or two guys but the whole team.
They miss it alot. Especially on defense.
No need to say you are sorry about it. People disagree with me all the time.

Some on this team seem to think they are better than others. Why is it that players in the huddle cuse and critize the QB?

Time to think about the TEAM.

That is what the problem with this team is, TOOOO much indivualism, they do not play as 1 unit and until they realize this and get it out of their system then that is all it will be. I seen this coming actually last year, I was just hoping that it would have stopped this year.

The individuals that are doing this need to stop immediately. They don't realize just how much it DESTROYS A TEAM. Team members have no right to criticise anyone. That is what the Coaches are for. The odds are that the ones that are doing this will not just stop on their own. It will take some strong leaders to step up and stop it. I just hope it is not one of Captains.
We have to keep in mind that these are kids.

I'm also not seeing all this individualism. Of course I can't hear everything that is said or know all that is going on. These kids are big game performers. Were they up for Ashland? No, but honeslty I know some of you older fans think Ashland is the big rivalry, most of us younger guys don't feel that same way. I'd say the 2 biggest games on this schedule are SK and Mason Co. With Raceland maybe being 3rd, but thats mostly brought on by their fans and their wide and loud mouths.
LC might even be a bigger game, I know seniors vs seniors LC beat them in 7th, 8th, and freshman seasons.
I like the throwing of the ball to Mitchell, but I wish they would send a back out of the backfield as a release valve if Mitchell doesn't get open on those 1on1 routes on the outside, so Cordle doesn't feel like he must make that throw. Right now the kids really want coach to open the playbook and I think they feel some pressure in trying to make plays that may not be there in hopes that he will. I think the cohesion and crispness will come as the season progresses with the passing game, the passing stats are still very impressive so far.
I also feel that AJ is picking his reciever before the ball is snapped. Ive seen some WIDE OPEN recievers not get that ball. AJ needs to know his progressions and follow it, if Dave or Drew coming out of the backfield is your first look and they are open, throw it right away, even if you run that play 10 times in a row. Make the D cover that route. Once they jump on that maybe the second step in the progression, or 3rd will come open.

Why are you guys complaining about the pass patterns,, With us old guys , there was only one reciver to go out on a pass anyway. No relief vale, no looking, just concentrate on throwing the ball to ONE reciever........On shot, one catch....and around 7 yards a pop.... Now they have these sprint passes with 3 receivers in a pattern.. Thats just crazy,, why do you need all those receivers anyway????
LOL.!!

I won't say who is saying what. I'm not there. I'm getting this second hand. As far as I know it's not being addressed. I have yet to see a true leader step up and take charge on either side of the ball.
