Well the Tigers are really clicking right now and I dont really see a team coming up that can stop them. I look forward to this week being an easy win for the Tigers.

Paintsville easily in this one! But they better enjoy it because their schedule turns tough real quick and there won't be many easy wins left.

I take Paintsville by 45. Most starters pulled early.
Next three games, Johnson Central....Ouch! Raceland.....Big ouch, just as good and might be better than JCHS! Then Sheldon Clark....Dang! I hope we have enough left to face Pike Central and Pikeville!

Paintsville will win pretty easily. Betsy Layne is one of the worst teams I have seen this year.
09-23-2008, 08:33 PM
Paintsville wins by as many as Kinner wants. As for their schedule, JC is probably the toughest game they will play...if they can escape that game without any injuries then I look for them to "upset" a team or two.

I am not kidding myself. But don't get too confident with the Eagles. They are a very good team and will put a licking on Paintsville. But just because they win the games they are supposed too against inferior competition doesn't mean they are untouchable against the better lower class teams. But I guess paying 5K to a winless 6A team to take the place of one of the worst 3A teams in the state who had to cancel makes you world beaters. JC has a couple of good teams in their district, but the rest of their schedule is very weak for a school that wants to be respected. But it does guarantee winning seasons.

Paintsville as big as they want.

Breathitt Co, Bryan Station, yes even the Canadian team, and a dang good Shelby Co. team, regardless of what their record may be. Wow now that's really an inferior lineup. You dont have a clue as to what you are even talking about as you havn't see any of those games at all. Did you happen to check out the JC/Raceland scrimmage? I did, so I do have a little bit of knowledge about this subject. Raceland has a very nice 1A team, but not even in the same league as the worst team that JC has played up to this point.
I guess the same could be said about running up big numbers against 3 of the worst 5 teams in the state of Kentucky and how it can make one feel. Now your gunning at another of the worst 5 teams this week.

Although those are good teams, they are not great an JC has had trouble with a couple of them.
Most of the time you can't tell squat from a scrimmage, or would we be just as deluted into thinking that Paintsville is just as good as any 3A team out there just because they lost by 6 points to a top 5, 3A school in a scrimmage?
Yup....we are gunning!!! LMAO!!! I guess JC hasn't put up big numbers against weaker teams! Yeah right. We have to play those teams as it is madatory by the KHSAA....What's JC's excuse for the weak non district games?
Maybe I am just way off base here....Maybe we should just go ahead and give JC the 5A championship trophy right now....
Do i have to watch a JC game to know what they are going to do? Or could they not be as great as some think because if every game that they have trouble in doesn't mean that the other team was just phenominal. Might just mean that JC is real good....just not great.

TIgers roll in this one. 56-6

The Guru Wrote:OK, maybe inferior was not the right word. What would you call a schedule where every team you play is not or should not be as good as you?Well maybe it's just like this. Perhaps Johnson Central is just better this year than what they and everybody else thought that they might be.They are better than what I thought they would probably be. They did get hit pretty hard by graduation last year. Perhaps the schedule was made based on what the staff thought they might be capable of playing against this year. A lot of the games were scheduled two years ago. Nobody that can think rationaly thought that JC would go through this season undefeated, but if they can get by Woodford, that is a possiblity. I think most felt that we could loose perhaps up to 3 games this season.

Then there are sometimes when you can see all you need to see. What top 5, 3A team was that? I only knew of Magoffin Co. They are bottom 5 this year though, aren't they?
What about bumping up a class or two then?
Again, what weak nondistrict schedule?
I dont think the big numbers have been seen yet. I think thats gonna be seen here real soon though.
Yeah, you probably should see what you talking about , before you talk about it.
Do I think JC is a great team? No, not yet. Can be by the time the season is over though. Probably wont be Highlands staus, but then again nobody else in 5A or any other class probably will be either except the elite Louisville private schools.

For the life of me I just can't figure out why you care so much about Johnson Central's schedule. There must not be any kind of controversy that you can cause or stir during the fall sport season at Paintsville so you have to come on here and cause an argument. With your football team doing well and your love afair with soccer now I can see why a guy like your self has to start causing trouble elsewhere. There's hope on the way for you though baseball is soon to be here and you and your clan can start stirring about your baseball coach. We all know your one of the ring leaders in that whole mess.
You want to mention inferior competition well let's look at the teams that Johnson Central scheduled for this year and what they done last season when this year's schedule was made.
Breathitt County: 13-1 Final Four team
St. Thomas More: Don't know much about them but I do know they were undefeated the past two seasons.
Bryan Station: 4-7
Shelby County: Replacement for Shawnee was 8-5 and regional runner-ups
Woodford: 8-3
Paintsville: 6-6
Hazard: 13-1 Final Four team
Montgomery: 8-4
Ashland: 2-8
Belfry: 14-1 Finals
Total wins and losses from last year minus St Thomas More 76-36
These teams are 20-15 so far this years minus St Thomas More.
Like I said in earlier threads just keep stirring because it'll make next week's game even more interesting.

Weak non-district games? Do you honestly think that Breathitt County, Shelby County, Hazard, and Belfry are weak? Shelby is winless but they've played some good teams.
Hey if you get tired of playing in the weakest district in the state you could always bump up to 2A but you would loose all those stat padding games. I'm sure the KHSAA wouldn't mind if you played up.

lol ok ok ok here let me just thro this out here umm is there any way that u can spot a team points at all in a game cause it would be interesting to see if JC could spot paintsville 50 points and still pull out the victory.....i mean seriously ever since 06's team teh starters havent seen the field in the second half at all lol so Guru lol gotcha but i really dont get why u say we dont play worthy teams??????? every team that we have played would shut out paintsville!

To Kimble, coach booth and too fast, I didn't start this crap and you know it! I have said it here and everywhere else that JC has a very good team. Also said they will beat the crap out of Paintsville. Also said they should go 10-0 this year! And just because i said that they are not playing teams that they know are better than them, you all act like i am dissing Central. Kimble and Booth have even started making things up. hey Booth....I was asked to go to one meeting about our baseball coach 2 years ago, i never went to any of the "parent only" meetings. My meeting was with the Principal and super. they asked me my complaint, and I said to them that we didn't practice hard enough. And I was about the last one to speak, and that makes me the ring-leader? I might have a different oppinion about playing Dennis Dillon, but I like the kid and his family, have always said they were nice people, but Kimble gets on here and says that i am calling them their coach and everyone idiots! that was an outright lie! said I was making subtle comments or something....get real. Said that we portrait Matney and an uncaring win at all costs person. phooey! As a person...I really like Matney, nice guy. if I ever say anything unkind about JC, their coaches or their programs, it is because people like you provoke it. If JC wants to put up 100 points against Paintsville, go ahead if you can. I promise the sun will come up on Friday! I won't bother me anymore than losing in overtime would. I tell you something....JC has some great kids.....as good as any anywhere, and a few good adults as well....But i don't know of any of them that get on here and say one thing!
Too bad we can't have a Paintsville thread without some wanting to get their 2 cents in about the superiority of JC.
